Sharks are a bad team and the Jets accomplished nothing at 5 on5. Pressure with the EN was a bit too little too late. Playoff teams dont get run out of their own building like that at 5 on 5 against bad teams.

Ive rewatched the last seconds a few times, and Kane does nothing, and goodrow does something and #4 appears to be somewhat shaken by it - but its hard to see what happened to #4 (its right at the edge of the feed when it happens) - anyone else have more details?

Also, what was the jets coaching staff upset about with 6.5 seconds left? They were screaming at the officials... any idea?

BS on me not being happy the Jets lost and the Rangers won? I want the Jets to make the playoffs and I want the Rangers to get a higher draft pick, what's so hard to believe? I don't really care about the vcash, I wipe out all the time and build it up again. Unfortunately, this loss is quite reflective (from an analytics perspective) of how the team has played for the past 15 months: negative team Corsi, high xGA, lower xGF with a nightmare shot map while requiring Vezina level goaltending to obtain a win.

This is how the team has been coached for a long time-prior to this season.

we have won must if games in spite of our coach.

We do not stand a chance of making a wild card spot. We have a coach who has been saved by a hot goalie but has not been good for a very long time.

The underlying metrics for the past 15 months scream this unfortunate reality.

Our announcers said Goodrow chopped Pionk (4). And then Laine came in and took a swing a Goodrow. Don't think Kane was involved.

Jets coaches were probably asking for time to be added or at least for the refs to check with the official timekeeper with 6.5 seconds left.

After 3 days rest nice to see the boys show up for the coach tonight and put in a 60 minute effort.

Cant wait for the coaches presser tonight. “Puck bouncing, liked our effort, good pk, stuck to our game, we are still in the fight” we all know what he will say.

This is a results oriented league and this team just does not get results.

I agree with this -we can't have guys like Kane running around and taking shots at our small guys. I'm not one to advocate having a team of goons, but we'll really need a couple big tough defenseman that can play, and also protect our smaller guys as well. I think this is critical.

Our feed missed it too. Commentators said Goodrow gave Pionk a two hander after the shot. No one saw it looks like though.

Nice push at the end, but if you saw the whole game, SJ utterly dominated the Jets for large stretches of this game and were full value for the win.

Didn’t see what happened at the end but sometimes I wish we’d give a few two handers back.

We sure need Lowry back in the lineup. We can't continue to let our best players get run. Ehlers almost got it tonight. Pionk could have easily gone into concussion protocol if he wasn't so focused. Damn he was good. But unless we are running a top notch PP, getting our players run is not deterring anyone. Letting players get elbowed in the head, and doing nothing is embarrassing. I though this team was tight. Would have like to have seen Maurice give a shift to Beaulieu and Sbisa, after the Kane hits. 88 is really the only one who would go toe to toe with Kane.

I liked the adjustment Maurice made moving Copp up to the Ehlers line. Copp is playing like a #2 centre. Wasn't a fan of the 3rd line, and Harkins with 2 plugs isn't a good 4th line. Maybe we put Chibisov-Harkins-Appleton back together?

I thought Poolman was good early, coming back from injury, struggled a bit late. Liked our team effort on the PK.

Liked our team effort, but the start of the 3rd, playing it safe with a 1 goal lead is not a recipe to winning. You could feel the momentum changing. Bad bounce and boom tie game. Hellebuyck with the gift on the GWG. It's frustrating seeing a team like San Jose scoring by outnumbering the puck , whereas the Jets are determined to make cross seam passes across the grain, and as Maurice said the Jets didn't want to forecheck to get the puck. Until their backs were against the wall. Maybe we should sign Aaron Dell in the offseason. Since we can't beat him in Winnipeg.
