I have to admit, I was a doubter of Krieder. Looked too one dominotional.. Last year I worried if hell ever come close to his potential. Now.. He's blossomed into a star. I can't think last time we had a rookie play at this level.. Maybe 25-35 could happen by the end of the year. This kid looks like a beast. Rick Nash and Kreider on the same line is just dirty.

What do you think is his potential?
I say consistently putting up 30-40-70 every year. I'll be happy with that

He'll probably end up with 18-22 goals by the end of the season. I think he will be a 30-30 guy...which is fantastic. He is also still young and growing, so who knows. It is exciting.

This is a different guy than the one who played in Kreider's jersey 12 months ago.

Great speed and a pretty solid contributor. I could see him as a consistent 20-25 goal/season scorer. He needs to be a little more disciplined though, gets into a lot of penalty trouble. But, then again he's still new to the league and I'm sure that'll settle down eventually.

Needs to bury his chances. He gets a to of one on ones with his speed . He will start burying more goals soon

I agree. 30-40-70 seems about right.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's more either.

I would be a bit suprised if it was more.

I think he is coming along really well. I was a bit afraid that he would fly in a little lower, more like in the 20+20 mold (which really is not bad at all when you look at "avg" numbers for players that aren't 1st lineers, 40 pts is what the "avg" 2nd lineer puts up). I do think 70 pts is high. I would bet at that being more of career high. The last full year, only 20 forwards scored 70 pts or more. Only 2 forwards on avg per team scored more than 60 pts. Split the avg from when he is like 23-28, I think 55 pts on avg is good.

No need to point out that stats is just stats though, any number is easily at least +/- 10 pts depending on you play on a real highflying team or a low scoring team.

What a package, size, speed, strength and skill...will only get better...

Not surprised because he has had all teh tools. Last Year he was battling a nagging ankle injury and the condensed season probably didnt help his learning process. Now he has become a legit 1st liner. yes he has taken penalties lately BUT he is being asked to do a lot so as a rookie that is apart of learning. I still think he need a faster C, stepan has been betetr but i am hoping a guy like miller will become that

One domontonol pls

Yeah, he is looking pretty legit. I like the 'tude he has developed.

I'll admit that I never really saw it all coming together with Kreider like it has this year. He's been better this year than I ever saw him look at BC. So, I am thrilled to be wrong on him.

Without a doubt. I think Kreider becomes a solid 25G guy with a few 30G years. Usually around 50-60 points. I don't see him racking up a ton of assists.

Kreider seems to have really awesome vision. He has been making a lot of great passes and a lot of his assists are primary assists.

He makes a lot of mistakes, which is why he was always in Torts doghouse. But he brings much more than he takes away, and thank god AV sees that and is giving him every chance to reach his potential which is huge

His offense is great, but it feels like over the past month he's taken a stupid penalty every single game. Including the too many men penalty last night where we lost the game.

Still think there's plenty of room for him to get better. His all around game has been pretty good on both sides of the puck. He's a +15--no one else on the team is even close. Some of the pm's he's taken come from not knowing his own strength IMO. He's playing a hard game. Sooner or later he'll have to get better at defending himself--he will be challenged. Right now though for all those thinking he could be a bust--wrong. He looks like he's going to be better than a lot of guys picked before and around him in his draft year--many of whom are still struggling to find their way.

He is playing with good players. He's making his speed a factor--driving other teams defenses back. He gets up to speed--it's almost impossible for a d-man to keep good gap control--it's basically down to trying to head him off at the pass.

id rather have Kreider play with an edge, take penalties and get the other team and their goalies off of their game.. he just needs to know when is the good time to take them...

There's a difference between Kreider "playing with an edge" and just taking sloppy penalties.

I'm not going to solely blame the too-many-men call on him, but he's taken a number of stick-related penalties, and a bunch in the offensive zone. If he can shore that up a bit, he'll be in really good shape.

I read an article recently about how his size and speed open things up for Nash. Plus his forecheck causes turnovers that don't always ended up in assists. Basically, even if he's a 55 point player his impact will be of a higher producing player. Wish he would cut it out with the penalties.
