To Ässät:

- Defenceman Colby Cohen (one year contract) = to replace Heshka as the top-pairing guy paired up with Jyri Marttinen

- Forward Ziga Jerglic (two year contract) = will start at the third line most likely, but has potential for the first two lines

I'm ok with this.

What has this Jeglic done in his career to earn third line center spot?

He will most likely not play center, unless one of Niemi, Kreps, Heino, Sillanpää is injured, maybe not even then. However, 3rd line LW/RW might well be where he starts the season. Of course this will depend on what Savinainen does, whether Ässät sign more forwards, etc.

From what I've read he has been really good with the national team in the WC and also been decent with Södertälje being the second best scorer last season for example. He isn't old either so I'm willing to trust the guys in the organization, who have had an eye on him for a long time, that they think that he is good enough.

And like the guy above said, he won't be playing center (unless there are injuries).

I don't really care if Hjallis sells the arena, but if he sells the team to the Russians... :help::shakehead

If anything, I think the league should look into merging with the SHL. It makes much more sense culturally and geographically. I don't want the KHL in Finland.

It's SM-liiga (and it's poor management) you are talking about there. Not gonna happen, they keep on living in the "90's"...for ever. The league has been digging it's own grave for many years now.
