Seems like the US is a bit of a mentally weak team, unable to face any adversity with the way theyve responded to the outcome of this game.
Hence, the quotations. What I meant was that it wasn't boarding (it was a side hit), I don't agree with that. Anyways, this is IIHF and I'm almost always wrong with my assessment.
Migod, Starman is insufferable on the US feed. Seems to think that his job is to talk over the action, and talk about everything but what is actually happening on the ice. The PbP guy lets him do it- why not try calling the game, or is it to much work indentifying players and describing the play as it happens?
https://blob.iihf.com/iihf-media/iihfmvc/media/downloads/rule book/220721_iihf_rulebook_v22.pdfim ok with them doing everything to protect these young players, and i think that is a unnecessary hit......i dont know if its "late" (dont know what actual rule is) and i dont think it was a boarding......again im ok with protecting players and im not justifying that hit, but would love to know what lines were crossed for a 5 + game.
We just have to go by the fact that Finland is our kryptonite and we'll always suck against them.Where was this urgency vs Finland? We played that game like it was a friendly.
lol. what? he slammed a player into the boards when he didn't have the puck.
this ain't the NHL.
thanks for that clarity, i always thought boarding was a check from behind into the boards, but makes sense to include a violent check into the boards, and would agree under thatRulebook does not state that boarding can only be done from behind. By the rulebook it was a clear reckless and avoidable boarding where a major penalty at ref's discretion is warranted.
"A boarding penalty shall be imposed on any Player who checks or pushes a defenseless opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to hit or impact the Boards violently or dangerously."im ok with them doing everything to protect these young players, and i think that is a unnecessary hit......i dont know if its "late" (dont know what actual rule is) and i dont think it was a boarding......again im ok with protecting players and im not justifying that hit, but would love to know what lines were crossed for a 5 + game.

AgreedDvorsky is a completely different player from the last world juniors. Looks bigger and stronger. Reminds me of a Krejci. He has a bit of an edge to him.
Just finished his check. Is that just a NHL thing now?
Slovak player had his mind on something other than playing competitive contact ice hockey clearly.
Feel like if you aren't going to send a crew to call the games live why not just pick up the TSN feed and everyone can complain about Button together. They aren't at the rink so they're just chatting over a game. It's poor quality.

It's not 1995 anymore. That isn't "finishing" a check. Deliberate late hit with the intention to injure.
There are no good optionsHopefully Natny is okay, we can’t afford to lose a top 4 dman especially considering the options to replace him
