sick game, again. sutter fixed something (2nd & 3rd line, gg both!) by breaking something (1st line, gah). frustration to watch, looch & gabby & kopi are impotent even when 5 on 4. more shuffling coming in next games, i bet.

The Kopitar line with Lucic and Gaborik has been utter garbage. They didn't work to start the season and they continue to suck in December.

Their failed coverage on Pavelski on his goals was also embarrassing. How do you leave a player like that so wide open?

Undisciplined play and awful d-zone coverage led to breakdowns and they gift wrapped those two points for San Jose.

Gabo has sucked all season if you ask me. He has had what ? a Handful of decent games ?

The Kings desperately need a top 4 d-man who can play with Drew. McNabb is just way out of is league and it's starting to show on a nightly basis. McNabb is fine as a #5 or #6, beyond that it's just asking to much.

if A is true

B cannot be true

Really no one to blame but ourselves. Had them by the balls every time the possession game was going then just totally took the foot off the peddle. Trying to turn on the jets with 9 minutes was too late.

**** defensive coverage on all of those tips by Pavelski and Thornton too.

His only use is in close to the net, wide open ice and he seems like a deer in the headlights.

Except that Gabo is not going to the blue paint this year, that is why he is struggling so much to be productive. He has 35+ games to turn it around though, I guess that's a positive.

Mucho respecto for Marleau though, something like 400 games on the trot, the sharks ironman, considering the amount of heavy games he'd have against the kings and ducks that is pretty impressive

Not sure if teams are realizing this and forcing us to use him actively in the neutral zone or transition, but we've been seding him the puck in those situations and i'm always like who's getting that pas- ugh F me, seconds later sure enough. :shakehead

I am hoping King gets planted with Kopitar/Gabo. King can at least gain zone entry, and maybe be more effective with possession than Lucic.

Lucic is more of a slash player, the guy doesn't posses the puck very well. Also is not good at 200ft of ice.

many problems with the kings

1-D is still bad-ish
2-Andreoff is still part of the roster
3-Mikko Koivu is out Kopi-ing Kopitar!
4-The Goalie Formerly Known As Quick
5-MATT GREENE (yes)
6-GABO SCHMABO!
7-Too Many damn Penalties
8-Kyle Clifford has soul
9-Doughty is still without a Norris
10-Shore is a C (and yes i'm aware he's good and that i must not be watching the same game)

Don't usually comment post game and I've made a point not to get overly upset about losses and overly happy about wins. But I hated the effort tonite by over half the team including Kopitar and Gaborik. I'm convinced Lucic can't play with them.

Lucic/Kopitar is the new Carter/Richards.

Sutter just can't help himself despite overwhelming evidence that there is no chemistry.

but honestly the Pacific is 7 bad teams; it's almost interesting to see which unworthy 3 will make the playoffs this year

Certainly a disappointing result. I guess not all that surprising though. 2-5 on home ice against Pacific teams. Not including empty net goals, they've given up at least 3 goals in 5 of the 7 games(6 of 7 if you include the empty net goals). In one of the other 2, they got shut out by Vancouver. Outscored 22-13, or 3.14 to 1.86.

Against SJ
0-2
4GF, 9GA(+1en)

Against Arizona
0-2
3GF, 7GA

Against Vancouver
1-1(the win in ot)
2GF, 3GA(+1en)

Against Edmonton
1-0
4GF, 3GA

In the other 10 home games for the Kings, they're 9-1. Giving up less than 3 goals in 7 of the 10 games. Outscoring teams 29-16, or 2.9 to 1.6.

What exactly is Sutter suppose to do ?

You can't have Toffoli/Carter/Kopitar/Gabo all slumping. Pearson is the spark plug right now ala J-Dub

Sutter had to get Toffoli scoring again. Hence Pearson moving down. Mission accomplished tonight, maybe now Pearson can move back up, or King will be ready to try something different.

we were doing fine with

Pearson - Kopitar - Gaborik/Brown
Lucic - Carter - Toffoli

Uhh the line changes came after the losses on the road, then Toffoli has been in an epic slump since Early December.

That's not fine.

You people have short memory, also the Kings were short forwards, Carter is banged up as well. You have to, you know, move people around to compensate.

Seems like King may be back after the break, he is apparently fully taking part in practices yes?
