SJS 2 : LAK 1 - This is why the regular season matters

The D is really our biggest issue. Schenn had some very good physical plays, but that cannot be our mainstay. He has plenty of snarl like Matt Greene but we need more skill on D than McBain is giving. I'm not done with the McNabb experiment but we clearly need more skill. Losing Martinez really hurt this time around.... I hope Gravel can really step up next season as a mainstay.

Sharks clearly want this one.... Burns and Martin on the back end are really hurting us.

No sense of urgency or anything, at least make the Sharks pay for their win. Can't even ****ing do that. I think maybe Sutter has worn out his welcome. This series is unwinnable without Martinez in there, and now we're facing a real possibility of getting swept, just ****ing depressing. Excuse me while I go drink myself into a coma.
 
not only are our D slow... but they cant seem to make any decent breakout passes... thats why we have absolutely no flow to our offense... granted the sharks are playing well, but still

You may get your wish. Too many passengers in the lineup.

The blueline needs to be retooled, they have issues at center and on the wings, just too many holes that need to be addressed either internally or externally.

A retooling won't hurt either because this current group has grown stale and it shows on the ice.
 
Not sure if I can put up with watching another game, its too detrimental to my health. This team is a ****ing embarrassment right now.
 
The Lucic/Toffoli penalties are not something you expect to be called in the playoffs. The King penalty in the first was also a load of crap.
 
My favorite part of the game was when they constantly kept dumping the puck in and the Sharks would easily retrieve it. No sweat.

Gabby looked good for his first game back, looked better than a lot of the other guys.
 
Kopitar credited with 60% on the faceoff, but lost every draw when we needed him most.

So disappointed in him and Doughty.

God ****.

Other than Gaborik, Muzzin and Vinny, no heart from anyone.
 
i just ate the largest bowl of ice cream and it didn't make me feel any better...

Kopitar did a better job on draws OVERALL... i think... but he did not win a single INITIAL draw on any of the PP's. Which set our PP's at 90 seconds instead of the full 2 minutes. lots to be discouraged...

THe fact that McNabb is given MORE responsibility playing offensive minutes scares me. Amart out really hurts because it's giving this "best player not playing in the NHL" waste-of-space more ice time.

GRAVEL IN please. PLEASE
 
What bugged me is that many of the Kings don't have their heads in the game! One instance completely annoyed me. There was a play that the Sharks turned over the puck right outside the blue line. Two Kings were trapped inside the zone but they were both about 1 to 1 and a half strides away to touch up but they just watched the interceptor first get confused as if to say "what are you guys doing? I'm turning up back in full speed into the zone and you guys are bird watching!" In order to avoid the offsides the carrier changed his mind about an inch of carrying it in and to just dump it in but course he shanked right into a defender and the puck went out of play.
 
Scuderi doesn't belong anywhere near the ice, the game just passes him by. Play Gravel at this point, it can't get any worse.
 
Not controlling possession enough and giving Jones too much respect. How many times did our guys shoot high and wide on good opportunities. They need to crash the **** out of Jones' net. Unfortunately leaking a goal on the first shot set the tone.
 
The avatar idea is great, but to be the bad guy, you have to be good. Maybe if they show up once I'll go back to one of them.

Lecavalier - 4 goals in 4 games against the Sharks this year.
Kopitar - 0 goals in 7 games against the Sharks this year.

Where is everyone on the team? 2 home games to open the series, and just a whole lot of mostly nothing. All the big name guys. You wouldn't know it was the playoffs.

It's amazing how invisible Brown is. At least we know Kopitar, Carter, Toffoli, Lucic, etc, aren't bringing it. We can see it. Brown just isn't doing anything, good or bad. He's barely there.

It's stupid, because more likely than not after Game 2 in 2014, it's pretty much the same sentiment we have right now. Of course there's always a chance, but, damn.
