I have issues with how Kreider plays in the offensive zone five-on-five. That said, he’s fine. He and Mika cover a ton of ground in the NZ and basically smother their opposite numbers. They’re a true shutdown line. In the O-zone they do some weird things but the hate they both get seems misplaced to me.

From the Kreider perspective I will go to my grave blaming Larry Brooks for starting the whole, "Did you see Chris?" narrative.

Anytime he doesn't score, he's a ghost. Invisible. Took the game off.

The guy will be sorely missed the day he's gone.

Neither Kreider nor Mika are showy in their effort. And if even say they both do their share of gliding when the puck doesn’t go where they expect it to go. But indeed, they’re both excellent players. One issue I think is that they’re considered the Number One line when really theyre more like an elite third line style wise.

To be honest with you I couldn't give shit about what line they are. But one thing I would have like to have seen more with Kreider is hitting people. But I think I understand why he doesn't considering his size and speed. He gets penalized for hitting essentially every time he does it.

Yeah. That’s my issue with even-strength Kreider too, sort of. I want him digging around the net more, aggravating the goalie. Hitting too, would be nice. But I don’t think it’s in his nature. People say he changed his game following the Carey Price thing, but did he? Really? Was he ever a particularly aggressive player? I think he was probably a bit more straight-line when he came up. But his game evolved.

Tough loss against a top defensive team with a goalie playing out of his mind, after a brutal stretch of 6 games in 9 days. It was bound to happen.

Laffy has really stepped it up this year! He was the best player out there last night for the Rangers.

For such an in form goalie we sure didn't make things too tough on him by getting in his personal space, maybe offer him an ass or two to sniff, not until late in the 3rd with Cuyle giving a few whacks looking for a rebound. No accidental falls, attacking the net and getting tripped into the goalie etc. Rempe would have made a big difference with that frustrating him, regardless of thundering hits or not.

Haven't seen enough love for Cuylle's game last night. The kid's been working his tail off lately and deserves to get bumped back up to 3LW. Definitely shot way too soon on his breakaway, but his steal off the forecheck and wrister earlier in P1 were great plays

Oh, we are still going with that excuse why Kreider isn’t physical?

“He’s too strong! He gets penalized for hitting people so it’s better he doesn’t hit”

Literally the funniest thing this board has ever come up with.

Rangers fans in 2011: "Kreider should become a 30-30 guy."

Kreider: *does that*

Rangers fans in 2024: "I hate this somehow."

What would happen if Kreider did go out of his way to be way more physical?

Would we score 59% of the goals when he's on the ice instead of 58% of the goals?
