Kind of a weird game. the intensity seemed down all night and we really struggled in controlling the puck, but we also generated some excellent chances and just got stoned by Hellebuyck. The 2nd period was really bad though.
Good for Laf getting another two pts, hitting 20 gaols and now career highs in goals and assists. He legit looks like a threat on almost every shift.
Cuylle had a strong game and deserved more minutes, he had some excellent looks.
Kreider looked like he slept through most of that and Kakko looked like he doesn't want to be near ice of any kind.
Jones could do with some more minutes, we need the precision puck movement

The Rangers were getting whatever they wanted at 6 on 5 and yet for some inexplicable reason Zibanejad opted for the 60 foot unscreened one timer perfectly placed for Hellebuyck to kick right to his defenseman. That was just stupid, hold onto that puck and let the lanes open and if you’re going to force a shot at least wait for traffic. You’re not beating Hellebuyck from literally the blue line on an unscreened slap shot.

Zibanejads reliance on the one timer has made him so one dimensional. He has that great shot, but it’s useless if everyone knows it’s coming, and it was not a wise shot at that moment.

Kreider was a dog today, and I mean that as an insult. That turnover and his total lack of effort to get back on defense were pitiful. At least pretend to get back and stop the play.

Other than that good effort. Can’t win them all. On to Boston.

It’s a well know fact that eating beyond meat destroys your brain cells from all the fake chemical shit that’s in it

The shot made no sense he had to know it could easily produce a rebound to the Jets.

5:55 played together at five on five tonight, seems like a pair you would want out there as much as possible going forward.

f*** Kreider.

f*** Zibanejad.

Those two need to figure it out. Zibanejad taking that one timer off the faceoff with 35 seconds left was the icing on the cake for the woeful performance of the Wonder Twins tonight

Laviolette won't say a single word to either of them.

They're teflon. Kreider has at least had his good moments.

Zib has been a joke all season, the playoffs are coming fast and he hasn't improved one bit.

a little surprised literally grabbing someone by the head to prevent them from getting to the puck still wasn't enough for the refs to actually make a call on win but ah well. overall they let both teams play, and our pp hasn't exactly lit it up lately...but letting win play straight up prison rules late is 1 a sign playoffs are around the corner and 2 a good thing for the team to be exposed to for the way the game changes when they start.

overall can't be upset. rangers certainly weren't their best, but the effort was there and they had more than enough chances to win this game. win is a good team though, they benefitted from having almost every bounce go their way but they also played a strong road game and their goaler was phenomenal. nobody wins em all. need to keep in mind how many games the rangers have played lately, and are now down 2 top 4 dmen - along with what sounds like more than a few guys playing a bit banged up. you can't win em all. they played well enough to win but not well enough to take the win - bad bounces are gonna happen, hot goalies are gonna happen. on to the next.

A bit hamstrung by the refs deciding penalties don't exist in this game

What did I miss in the GDT, from the OP of this thread seems like some fun/not so fun

we lose when opposing teams 1C shits all over our 1C in terms of production

we also easily score 2-3 more goals against a non-walrus goalie

Panarin Tro Laffy
Kreider Wennberg Ros
Cuylle Zibs Kakko
Vesey Goodrow Rempe

KAM Fox
Gus Schneids
Jones Rooweedle
