You just click the little blueish green dot that's right in front of the title of the thread.
 
When it comes to these changes there is a non Hockey related message board I read which have this exact design and setup, so I got use to all of this right away.

I will say one new feature I like is when I'm writing a reply on a topic and a message pops up saying there was other new replies that were already posted as I was still writing. Because of that feature I was able to quote someone and I wasn't planning to until I saw their reply.

It's software really seems to have been modernized. I think once they make a "night" theme people will get used to it but it is pretty hard on the eyes in mobile. I don't have any issues with my desktop though.
 
Like the new look. My wishlist:
  • Dark theme option
  • I see "Like" -- so where's "Dislike" ?
Quick tip: If your find that your avatar is no longer animated, re-upload the image and save which should do the trick.

Haha I didn't even notice my avatar was static. Unfortunately I don't have the old image though anymore. I kind if wish it had stopped on the Matthews picture but at least this way it's not dated for last season's playoffs and I can just keep it ha.

I'm having a tiny bit of trouble with the quoting/replying but that's just me pushing buttons that don't need to be pushed

Due to the migration, the playoff avatars that I created for our board last season have disappeared along with the old site.

I wonder if there's still going to be post limits on threads (1000 posts max per thread)?

I don't think there will be, but it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Also, fwiw, I'm liking the mobile site. I hated the old one and never used it. Instead, I would just use the desktop version on my phone. I think I actually may use the mobile version on my phone now.

Funny enough, I went on HF boards on my laptop and it seemed to give me some glitchy version of the mobile skin.
 
What sucks now is i cant pull up old threads from searching on google. The link doesn't lead to the page I want.
 
I was gonna log in and say I dont like the change...I dont like the font, the colour scheme or the large amount of white-space. But then I got a trophy and my avatar works (I think) so im happy now.
 
On my desktop I'm able to save my username and password for any website that I need to long onto so I don't need to type in either one, with HFBoards being included among them. Anyway the first time I logged on here after the update I got asked the question do I want to save my username and password despite them already being saved. So did anyone else notice that happening the first time logging back on?

It's likely that special character mucking that up for you. Characters like asterisks, hyphens, and underscores aren't accepted formats. It looks like it's alphanumeric now. Anyone having trouble logging into their old account should email [email protected] and detail their info along.

Old bookmarks or links should have a ThreadID (t=) or PostID (p=) visible in the URL itself (e.g., hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=258590). The workaround to reach an old link, if the thread still exists, would be to plug the respective ID after hfboards.mandatory.com/threads/ or hfboards.mandatory.com/posts/ in your address bar and then update your bookmark or watched threads if it's a success. To complete this example, that would mean: hfboards.mandatory.com/threads/258590

That's because the host domain changed from hockeysfuture.com to mandatory.com in the URL. You'll want to save it again since that's what you do.

The blue dot actually takes you to the last post that you viewed in a thread.
 
Also, these below worked for me and should stop autoplay videos here (and elsewhere on the web) until that's addressed:

- Chrome browser = In address bar, type "chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy", then select "Document user activation is required." from the drop-down box before relaunching.

- Firefox browser = In address bar, type "about:config", then search for "autoplay" and toggle "media.autoplay.embed" to false.

struggling to use this on my desktop but it seems great on my phone.. I can't see anything in desktop, I wonder if some things are blocked by company? Anyway, a few updates and I think this will be a really good change.
