Here is what the NST all situations GSAx chart looks like BTW:

Clearly a different xG formula is needed for powerplay situations.

See also: I have no ****ing idea what those charts mean or how to interpret them.

Pertty much. That chart takes into account shots that should be saved and are not. When someone has an insane chance and it goes it, it's not weighed the same as one that is a wrist shot from the blue line.

That's only 5v5 though. According to NST's xG formula Hank is 10th in both GSAA/60 and raw GSAA in all situations. Georgiev is 11th in both.

E: Or rather GSAx, if that is the new term.

Top 10 performance on a bottom 10 team is pretty darn good.

Sorry but that chart is going to favor goalies that face way more chances. Just is. It also like I said does not take into account bad goals from good spots on the ice. If a puck slips thru an arm or goes thru the legs but was in a solid scoring spot on the ice. A save that used to be made Or a chance that goes across the slot and is scored because hank is on his back instead of sliding into position. On a expected goals chart or high danger chart it looks like a goood goal. When u actually see it you know it wasn’t. That’s why every nhl coach or gm says these charts need to be taken in context and have their own measures of high danger chances that we don’t have.

Have to think being 3rd all time in wins is something Hank and the Rangers would love to see.

I wouldn’t go that far
Eh you look around at all the ranking lists you want, whether based on numbers or based on anecdotes and memories, and Marino is generally in the 5-10 range all time. I think Henrik is pretty easily in that range. And they may share the "Greatest to Never Win It All" label. I think it's a pretty apt comparison.

I think that if Toronto made room for a motivated and dedicated playoff Lundqvist, they could win the cup, so that means they won't make that deal and they will spend their money on some stupid **** that sinks the team for another century.
What does this mean?

Are you suggesting the Leafs sell off pieces for a 38 year old back up and that if they don't they'll sink the team for a century? I don't understand.

His home is here in NY for a majority of the year, his kids are in school here, have friends, etc. Not to mention his business interests and charities all based out of here. I foresee him going back to Sweden during summers, and coming back here to live for the rest of the year as he does now.
Can you find a NY superstar who embraced being a NYer like Hank? Guy oozes love for the city, the culture, and especially the fans (more than the usual platitudes force by athletes about the fans being the best) always gracious and grateful to the team and city of NY, supposedly turned down chances at contenders to stay in NYC on a loser because he's loyal to a fault and loves it here.... and yet ppl still predict him to retire and play/live elsewhere as soon as he can....
