After Game 1 I called out Braun as being brutal, so I want to give him credit for playing a great game tonight. Him and Vlasic were awesome tonight.

that pair took crosby mostly out of the equation tonight. i think he was <50 corsi after bring 70+ in the first 2.

You know I went to Fanfest and saw Donskoi as part of the minor league game they had. I went to the game tonight and saw him score one of the biggest goals in Sharks history. What a ride this kid has been on. Awesome experience.

I think that was just a rookie/prospect game, as I didn't see anyone from either side that weren't rookies (Haley, McGrattan, C. Mueller, McCarthy) etc.

Still impressive though, although I remember receiving criticism for suggesting he could play 3rd line minutes immediately over in the prospect thread :naughty:

Yeah, it was the prospect game. He was the best player on the ice and then deserved to make the team in the preseason. To see that culminate tonight in that goal was amazing.

If i knew they were giving this away I would of got tickets

Can Martin and Burns please get their heads out of their *****. There's no hope for Dillon and Polak turning things around but we really need Martin and Burns to play better. If Hertl comes back and Karlsson can keep up his play, it gives us more options. We can move Hertl down to the 2nd or 3rd line and give us more scoring depth.

Uh oh Donskoi just said that Thornton and Marleau are good leaders.

Can't wait until a bunch of guys on the main boards that haven't been in the locker room tell us otherwise!!

I feel we should be dominating the Maatta-Lovejoy pairing. Our 2nd line had been excellent in the 3 series before this. Couture has been pretty good in the first 3 games and Donskoi and Ward all contributed tonight.

Also, after reading the main board, Pens fans must be losing their voice complaining about missed penalties. It's rather depressing and hilarious at the same time.

Burns is effing killing me. He is turning over the puck like crazy and can't get a shot to the net to save his life.

I said this earlier, the Penguins are doing a great job blocking Burns' shots. They're getting in his shooting lane and blocking them. This is what the Kings, Predators and Blues failed to do to shut down 88.

Polak and Dillon concern me more.

The seat next to me was empty so I ended up taking it home. Woot!!

Great game..was nervous as hell during OT. Glad it went the Sharks way. I had to ask a Pens fan to lean back in his seat. I asked nicely but he seemed perturbed and promptly sent out a text about me..lol.

The blocked shots aren't really a problem here. 4 shots and 12 blocked shots off of Burns' stick is fine. His key at this point is to simplify his breakout decisions.

Here's the OT GWG with Finnish commentary:

I was watching the swedish broadcast. Our commentators mentioned that the finnish commentator went crazy after that goal. They were in different booths at the rink, but he was so loud that they could hear him screaming.

Back from the game. Was possibly (definitely) the best game I've ever seen live. Got to take home a white sharnado tshirt + teal vintage logo shirts to boot.

The tank was, as expected, LOUD after Donskoi's goal. The intro was also great. Had some nice memories with old Sharks plays.

Wait. Why are people complaining about the ice? The ice was much worse in Pittsburgh. (Both haven't been great)

Just back from the game, what a fantastic experience. I'm glad I opened up the pocket book.

One question for anyone else there, was there any place to buy programs? My Dad wanted one (seeing as it would be the first ever Sharks Stanley Cup Finals program) but we could find any anywhere. Do they not make them anymore?

If they do, I'd be willing to pay someone to get one for me next game.

That is awesome, thank you!

I only got the white one, which I didn't like as much as the teal, I was jealous of the people I saw in the teal. Were they only in certain sections?

 I doubt you could hear a thing there after that tho.:)

In case if you're wondering what he's actually saying, here's the translation starting from when he gets the puck behind the goal. You won't probably understand a thing except his name so I guess this clears it up a bit:

"Donskoi comes through with the puck, Donskoi shoOTS BY HIMSELF HE SCOOOOOOOREEEEESS! JOOOOONAAAAAAAAAAAASSS DONNNNNNNSKOIIIIIIIIII! SHARKS WIN! THE FINN SCORES THE GAME WINNING GOAL! JOONAS DONSKOI IS THE HERO NUMBER 1!"

I'm actually so hyped that I've watched that probably a good 20 times over and over again:laugh:.

I think he's holding the puck a bit too long instead of just firing one at Murray. Keith Jones pointed out that on Braun's goal, he didn't even try to find the puck and expected his skaters to block it. The Penguins are trying to limit the chaos by blocking shots far from the net.

Pens have outplayed us for the most part but the funny thing is the Sharks could have won all 3 games.Pens scored the game winner with 2 minutes left in the 3rd period in game 1 and won in OT in game 2. Sharks have been in every game.

I don't really see too many problems with his puck play from the point in the attacking zone really. The stretch passes that become turnovers are the killers to me. They should be building momentum with him on the ice and not defending because of poor puck decisions.

It could easily be a 3-0 series if some of those posts went the other way.
