Looks like Donskoi will get a chance with Joe and Joe, and sure looks like Raffi is in, too #SJSharks

Still uncertain about any skill player (Hertl/DOnskoi) on a line with the Joes. Not much time handling the puck or play making being the 3rd wheel on that line. But it is probably good for Donskoi's odds of making the team getting a look on the top line.

What's happening with Goldobin and Doonskoi? Is Goldobin likely to make the team? I really hope so but every roster projection I've seen so far doesn't have him there. I really wanna see what he can do.

Goldobin has NHL-ready talent but has a lot of work to do to round out his game. The only way I could see him on this team to start the season is riding shotgun with Pavelski and Thornton.

Can he be a better F1 than Karlsson? Tim will tell, but he has good hands and had some mice take-away's on the PK the other night.

He might, but I think using Donskoi as an F1 would be a terrible waste of his playmaking talent.

I'm afraid this game seems to be radio only. :(

Good luck on gettin Matthews, I cannot describe how abhorant I find the idea of Toronto or Buffalo getting him, despite the fact that he's be in our division.

Donskoi seems to be playing himself to the team, and why not.

I'm betting this is what we'll see to start the season since Karlsson's injured:

Donskoi-Thornton-Pavelski
Ward -Couture-Marleau
Wingels- Hertl- Nieto
Brown-Tierney-Smith

Vlasic - Braun
Martin - Burns
Dillon - DeMelo

Karlsson's injury may have him back in the lineup sooner than later. And where's Torres?

Torres and Brown will rotate throughout the year. I'd love to have Raffi in there but doubt his knee will hold up.

At this rate, I think Donskoi will make the starting lineup. Who would you take out besides Karlsson?

The point of that lineup really isn't about Torres or Karlsson.

It's 4 lines that can skate, keep possession and score. Finally we have a real bottom 6

Well not anyone in particular but I'm interested to know how he's been. My little dirty secret: in a way I cheer for every Finn at NHL to succeed :sarcasm:

I've only watched him once. But he's tenacious on the back check and if you give him any space he's instantly dangerous.

Apparently he was even better against Arizona. But that was audio only.

He had a goal (on the power play, if that matters to you) and an assist (though that was in the 3 vs 3 extra session bit) playing on the 1st line with Thornton and Pavelski against Arizona last night. (at least he started there) The fact they put him there in the first place shows the organization thinks a lot of him. If he keeps performing there in preseason, I think it's not at all an unreasonable expectation that he plays there once the regular season starts.

I fully expect Mike Brown to be waived. Torres, Karlsson, and Goodrow should round out the top 14.

Thanks for the comments. His stats and linemates from last night were actually the reason for me to ask this. Has he commented anything about his season, do you think AHL is an option for him or is it NHL or Europe?
