He's not signed yet. Technically just traded for his RFA rights. (Or to be more precise, he has no contract from July 1 onwards...yet...)
And he is arbitration eligible if he goes that route and one year from UFA if he takes a 1-year settlement. (Edit - as in he would be UFA next year.) I would assume Grier already has an idea of what he's willing to pay on something longer than a year or two. I'm curious to see how that works out as AFP had a projection for 3x$4.2M AAV which if he plays 2nd pairing minutes is a nice deal.
