I would say it's more likely that Hemming, Belchetz, or Lawrence is at 20. Maybe Pugachyov falls for being Russian but other than that it's pretty clear that Grier moved down a tier.
There is zero chance those Hemming, Belchetzc or Lawrence is there at 20. You’re just making up stuff to be mad about at this point.

I'm actually not so sure. Hamilton with only 2 years left would be absolutely a fit, especially if Orlov gets moved at the TDL.

We could still get Hamilton and Spence if we really wanted to. I think easing in Kesselring on the third pair since he's coming off a major injury while sharing time with Desharnais wouldn't be a bad idea. While Hamilton and Spence hold down the 1st and 2nd pair RD slots respectively.

Hamilton seems highly unlikely to me. I dont think grier wants a guy who doesnt want to come (although goodrow kind fit that mold I suppose).

I expect another mid 20's, low risk high reward target. Spence as mentioned. Grier might try to target Nikishin too though his price would be much steeper. Other names include Korczak, Lundquist...

Frankly, in terms of the U26 RD with offensive upside who aren't established studs, Spence might be the only real guy who can be gotten for relatively low prices.

Grier's other choice is to still go after a guy like Raddysh and lock in $ and term. Just seems like Grier is just so hesitant to do that.

Team still doesn't have a good d-man to run the PP and I think Hamilton would be a significant upgrade from Klingberg there.

Everyone seems happy. So YAY!! 😀
Which is weird because for months I read how Kesselring and these level of NHLers suck and SJ need to just go big and get Fox, etc.

People should be upset given what was said just a month ago.

Bringing in someone who's signed for 2 years is significantly better than signing a guy for 7 or so or another reclamation project like Spence. Lundkvist just extended in Dallas for two more years.

The odds of one of them being at 20 are better than the odds of someone useful falling to 27.

I'm expecting either a big player with no motor (Roobroeck), or someone who doesn't score (Murtyn or Dagenais).

The grade on this pick is oddly still contingent on who is picked at 2 for me.

Since when? It's been a rotating cast of writers.

Kurt is a moron. He thinks Kesselring is a #1D, PP Qb?

I mean, anything is possible I suppose. Of course, nevermind the fact that he has one PPG and two whole assists in 190 career games. Im sure he hasnt gotten alot of opportunity there, but to label him the #1 PP QB that frees you to take stenberg is a ridiculous assessment. I would expect more intelligence from a professional sharks beat writer.

We absolutely still need a PP QB, and a top 4 RHD.

In four years in the NHL, Kesselring has a grand total of 74.2 minutes on a power play.

I read that too and it disqualified any goodness he wrote with of GMMG, its like hearing the podcasters think Pohlkamp is going to jump onto the sharks and score like he did in the NCAA. These are all good players but no where near top line Dmen.

The odds of Gavin McKenna being at 20 are better than the odds of him being there at 27. Equally pointless to discuss.

It’s also very funny to complain about taking “someone who can’t score” when absolutely none of Belchetz, Hemming, nor Lawrence scored very much this year either. Belchetz and Dagenais had virtually identical PPGs in the CHL this year.
