Which is weird because for months I read how Kesselring and these level of NHLers suck and SJ need to just go big and get Fox, etc.

People should be upset given what was said just a month ago.

Kesselring isn't The Guy, but he's solid depth with a top-4 upside for a cheap price. The Sharks obviously need more, but it's a good start.

Kurt is a moron. He thinks Kesselring is a #1D, PP Qb?

I mean, anything is possible I suppose. Of course, nevermind the fact that he has one PPG and two whole assists in 190 career games. Im sure he hasnt gotten alot of opportunity there, but to label him the #1 PP QB that frees you to take stenberg is a ridiculous assessment. I would expect more intelligence from a professional sharks beat writer.

We absolutely still need a PP QB, and a top 4 RHD.

on this team, kesselring will get the shot for sure. i don't think he meant 1D as in makar but just 1D on this team. that's not such a crazy take considering this team atm.
not directed at you but some of you guys are so harsh in this place. it sets such a negative vibe. if you guys don't feel well, i don't think posting online is a healthy outlet. just my 2cent from seeing how some ppl seem always lowkey upset over little things.
even if MG takes Reid over Stenberg, he can't help them this year on PPQB or top 4. I'm not pro stenberg but if MG selects him, he likely plays this year in NHL.

as an aside, i really like the fact that this deal was done early before draft. both teams can use the time to study their picks or trade options with other teams. Buffalo fans seems to think there's more moves on their side also...

Not to be a debbie downer, but this trade alone, definitely does not put the sharks in any kind of winning position. It's an excellent first step, for a guy who hopefully can add some mid pair contribution. our D still sucks to high heaven, and I worry that in the exuberance over this very good trade, we lose sight of the fact that we still realllly stink on the back end.

Obviously, Im sure grier is not done, but if he thinks Kesselring can fit the description Kurtenbach wrote about, then grier might just resign desi, ink Murphy, and consider it done. I reallllly hope grier still feels a strong need to add a potential 40-50+ pt RD who can play 22+ mins/gm.

I also wonder the timing of when grier might keep the moves coming. It really feels like the 27th pick won't be ours for long...
