Cool. Essan from BAHR was talking her up the other day as the best Bay Area-developed hockey player we have never heard of.
That's awesome! But she has never actually played hockey herself, just has been a trainer for ice hockey including interning with the barracuda/sharks for a few months in 2017 I think. I wonder if he was talking about the new strength trainer for the Barracuda, I know she is from the area and played college I think.

If anyone was curious who that beautiful woman behind the Sharks bench last night was I happen to know. She is the SJ Barracuda's new assistant athletic trainer, she is extremely talented and smart. And also my wife. I'm super proud of her!

In order to confirm you as a source, ask her to hold up a sign to the camera that says "@Solmors for HF Boards mod" at the next opportunity

My bad, I think that is who he was talking about. Regardless, congrats to your wife and to you. Cool to see people tied to the organization posting up here.

Haha, no way she would do that. She is way too serious/professional when on the job. And she needs to be, she is aiming to be the first female athletic trainer in the NHL (she is the 2nd ever in the AHL). No blue checkmark for me...

Thanks! Everyone in the org has been great so far, and the new arena is pretty nice she says albeit with some odd layout choices. I may be able to drop some inside info on occasion. For example she met Thornton and his son last week and knew before any word broke that he and his family moved back to SJ.

Keep in mind the Avs beat the Kings yesterday, who have a pretty good farm system. The Sharks should be better but this has still been a good performance.

That rush was the first great thing Merkley has done tonight. He should be a greater force at this point.

Solid win. Eklund and Bordleau still looked good.

The Weisblatt-Robins-Coe line looked great. Weisblatt was better than yesterday's game where he just looked like he floated around. However, still need more from him.

Merkley playing like he shouldn't be there, and he showed a number of plays that showed he was a step above this level. Would have liked him to show a bit more energy (though I think it's also his playing style that visually doesn't look great).

Beaupit loses his shutout.
Only disappointing thing about this game. He played very well and deserved the SO.

It's just a couple games against other teams' prospects, and there are definitely kinks/bad habits to be worked out, but I've been impressed at the relative cohesion/chemistry on display. The 'Cuda could be very fun this year.
