Wilson was following Thornton before he agreed to go.
And?

What happened to "grabbed on to"? What happened to Thornton "having to fight", like he couldn't have just gotten back in the play and moved on? I thought mean old Tom Wilson bullied him into it like a kid on a playground?

He was following and grabbing. Thornton was playing hockey until he had enough. Wilson had no intentions of actually playing hockey, which is rather common for him.

Thornton's coasting through the neutral zone completely upright, stick up with his head turned around, yapping right back. He's not playing anything. There's no grabbing, there's barely any contact between the two outside of the offensive zone, where Wilson made a legal play on Thornton defensively.

Maybe if Joe even bothered to take a few strides back into the play (or bothered to bend his knees) I'd believe it, but nope.

he was playing hockey with the puck in the other zone and him casually skating up the ice?

I'm sure it will be posted.

It looked like he clearly dropped him but if there's new evidence, I'd like to see it and gladly will change my opinion if he did slip, but that looked like he dropped him.

Full video of Joe Thornton hit on TJ Oshie.

At 3:30, Couture swats the puck as Oshie pushes him and starts to fall. At 3:29, Thornton attempts to cut between Couture and Oshie and hits the falling Oshie. Were Oshie not falling, this would be a completely normal play. Thornton's butt would've hit Oshie's butt/hip, Oshie would've bounced off the boards, and that'd be the end of it. But I guess Thornton saw Oshie falling in that 1 second and decided to go for the kill with his ass.

I would love to see JT get knocked out again, but in this fight he got his hand up to block Wilson’s punch and then slipped. NHL Network has a good angle.

Fair enough, that angle posted looked like a clear shot but if it was a slip it was a slip.
