Thornton's heels are literally pointing at Oshie before impact. You're a hall of famer, buddy, where did you learn how to stop?

Garbage play. He knew what he was doing.

Thornton has been sneakily dirty his entire career. I'm not expecting a suspension but they might look at it because he was just fined last game for slashing Tyler Johnson.

Unfortunate accident. Really hope Oshie is okay. I'm guessing he'll get a game. It wasn't dirty (interference like that happens all the time ) but it had a bad result and Thornton is responsible for that.

It's true, Oshie was falling as Thornton was coming in with his back to him, and his butt made contact with his head. It's not a great hit but it's hilarious seeing people say how he "knew what he was doing." Ya sure, Thornton "knew" he was going to fall to his knees so he planted a nice ass to face hit on him.

Unfortunate hit. Nothing dirty.

**** him, that's exactly the wrong response. People don't deserve to be jumped after every unfortunate incident, and the players gave Thornton the benefit of the doubt until the replays showed that NHL caliber skaters could have avoided that hit but Thornton didn't.

It's a trash hit through and through, and if DeBoer wants a cleaner league he can start in his own backyard because his team looked like a bunch of plugs tonight.

Flashes of the more nasty version of Thornton we saw earlier in his career at Boston. It reminds me of his hit on Kesler at the World Cup last year where Thornton reminds us that he can still throw around his big body when needed. It's unfortunate Oshie fell at the last minute as it was a interference penalty at most.

****ing whiner. Joe agreed to fight Wilson. He can talk about premeditated crap, let's see what he thinks of the Dillon slash.
Joe shouldn't have to fight guys like Wilson. He's pissed because one of his best forwards was basically forced into fighting a plug and was taken off the ice for 7 minutes when the game was still in the balance.

Dillon had that slash in mind as soon as Bowey hit him. A fight is a fight, get over it. There's no instigator because they dropped the gloves at the same time.
Wilson was following him up the ice well before the fight with no intent of playing hockey. It should have been an instigator.
