I did exactly the same thing!

I also had Vlad shots on goal in the Tampa game because it was a b2b and he only played like 11mins the previous game.

Honestly though, why would someone in Pinto's situation even think about going against strict NHL rules? Is it greed? Addiction? Sheer stupidity?

Like you're literally putting your entire career at risk here. Why even take that chance?

We might never find out. If it's a gambling addiction I hope that he can get some help.

I had that thought too. If you really need to gamble in his position, throw some cash at a friend to make the bets. I'm sure it happens all the time. I remember working in a vape shop when i was in college and multiple Senators would send friends in to buy the shit so they wouldn't be seen going into a shop.

Leaving a digital trail of any kind will get you caught. It's just a boneheaded move. Shockingly boneheaded.
 
This is a bit odd. To my understanding, he's not signed? How can he be suspended?

The suspension is from start of this season. So he's not signed, he's not playing, yet his suspension games have already been clicking?

Andy why can't players bet on other sports? It's literally a legal thing now in many places and heavily advertised everywhere including during NHL games and tv broadcasts.
 
Honestly Pinto isn’t dumb. I was shocked at first that someone who got a proper education could be so dumb.

I would have advised him to use a proxy and he did that’s the right thing to do when you are doing something you shouldn’t . The league is just 3 steps ahead it’s insane
