Blessing in disguise if it lowers his next AAVI'm sure he has a massive chip on his shoulder after how last season went.
A lot to prove.
Pun intended?I'm sure he has a massive chip on his shoulder after how last season went.
A lot to prove.
That people read his stuff still baffles me. Not only does he rank predominantly on emotion/who he likes, he also openly admits that he doesn't watch certain leagues throughout the year. He has mentioned he doesn't watch Jake Sanderson in his NCAA games. Surprise, that's why year after year Wheeler ranks him considerably lower than he should be.Wheeler is a total douche and clown
Does it seem odd to anyone else just how much production went in to that video?
The lighting, angles, etc...that was like a vanity clip if he was selling himself.
Happy to see he is working hard but clip is from his management team or something.
The original clip was from iucci_hockey19. It is the instagram page for Jimmy Iucci. There is a brief blurb that says:Does it seem odd to anyone else just how much production went in to that video?

It seems like the vanity that you are referring to is just a skills coach trying to promote himself.Player Development/Skills Coach.
Currently Training Amateur/Prep School/Junior & Pro Level Players
He could crack the top 10 eventually, but I wouldn't say it's a given. Pinto is still unproven and some very solid players from that draft. That people read his stuff still baffles me. Pinto at 23 is absurd. He should crack the top 10 of that draft after people see him play this year.
Hopefully 22.What’s his new number?
22 would be greatHopefully 22.
Seems like a guy who likes to have the 2 in his number…maybe 20
Pun intended?
I suppose he could be innovative and go with 222.22 would be great
Oh God, don't say that lol. I recall a vid of Lazar practising one on one with a tendy and losing control of the puck constantly.I got Curtis Lazar vibes from that vid.
It definitely lacks that outward burst, but the skill is clearly on display. I bet this is more a case of making it look effortless than a matter of coasting or lack of energy.Does anyone feel his movements seems kinda slow in this vid?
I had to watch it again. Maybe not slow but maybe not explosive?
Jeez i wish the season would start.
Did he even watch the world championships? I dont know if I have ever seen anything more obvious than Seider projecting to be very good when he was that type of player as a 17 year old against men. Also I watched the U18 US team a handful of times and it was blatantly obviously Boldy and Zegras were way better than Turcotte. How is he employed for this as a living. Hilarious to see who he still has Pinto behind. So excited for what he is going to bring this season. The sens should be really strong in the faceoff circle adding him and Giroux.Wheeler is a total douche and clown
He is also a bigger guy, he carries his speed really well and has a long powerful stride. The type of skill training for a guy his size would be different than a smaller player. You can see some hard cuts he makes going into the corner for the puck as he only needs to get a small edge on the player as he protects the puck well.It definitely lacks that outward burst, but the skill is clearly on display. I bet this is more a case of making it look effortless than a matter of coasting or lack of energy.
I mean he doesn't deserve to be in the top 10 yet but he certainly should be in the teens. He definitely has the talent and skillset to get there. He could crack the top 10 eventually, but I wouldn't say it's a given. Pinto is still unproven and some very solid players from that draft.
This was Wheeler's top 10 FWIW:
Hughes
Zegras
Seider
Boldy
Caufield
Byram
Knight
Cozens
Newhook
Kakko
Not a lot of people outside Ottawa fans are going to put Pinto in there at the moment. And there's a few other good players that will also work their way into the conversation.
