Shane Pinto being suspended 41 games for sports gambling

Well, that gets Dorion off the hook for awhile (at least WRT the Pinto matter). Pinto basically has no choice but to take whatever the Sens offered him, as if he doesn't sign by Dec 1, he can't play this season. I'm sure he wants to come back after his possible 41 game suspension, or his bargaining position next season will be exactly the same as it is now.

Edit: according to Friedman, the Dec 1 deadline no longer applies, and Pinto suspension starts retroactively at game 1. So Sens can sign him to his $875,000 QO after game 41 when the suspension ends. Send MacEwan to the AHL then, and we can roll all season with 13 forwards / 21 players.

Pinto not playing hasn't really hurt the Sens as his replacement, Ridly Greig has been 1 of their best players, and among the NHL's top rookies. Yes, I'm well aware the Sens look disorganized and poorly coached. Having Pinto wouldn't help that

Obviously this was a guy the Sens wanted, but what if this was someone they really didn't want anymore? How do you force them to sign the guy?
