One of my all-time favourite players. Doan was a trooper, and a leader.

Not sure what his off-ice qualifications are, as I haven't followed his post-playing career at all. So I have no clue if this is a good hire. But I think it's cool to see his name pop up, especially around the Leafs.

As of today I do.

We have a large body C the does not fully apply himself when it comes playoff time. A man that has wrist issues and recently had production declines. He likely has the ability to be a top 3 player but is playing way below that and appears to be very focused on money and less so on winning.

You can never have enough people on staff in sports. Thats why I always said why dont the "rich" teams take advantage of their surplus of money generated and build a bigger and better staff. Scouts...etc.

There is no cap restrictions....so its always great to surround yourself with great hockey minds.

If this helps signing our players....so be it....if it doesn't ...oh weill....

I dont see any of our stars not signing. Do I wish they took a home town discount and made more money in endorsements? Sure... But in the end....you have to make your money when you can. Careers can be short.

Again, I think even without Matthews Treliving hires his friend.

My hope is his friend has some personal knowledge about underrated players that can be targetted.

Everyone has knowledge about players, but not everyone has personal knowledge gained by personal viewing and scouting and not by purchasing this information from others.

Matthews won't care if Doan is there when it comes to his agent trying to get the most money his agent can get in his own pocket.
