And now we celebrate itYup and I remember making fun of Sens fans cuz they were regular season champs

I just love the story line that Keefe is just as good as Trotz because Trotz coaches in a weaker division while ignoring the fact that Trotz took a crappy
Islander team to much greater success then Keefe has with this talent loaded group
Do some people even think before they post these excuses
The Metro is a hard ass division, so is the central but none of those teams complain about it being hard to win. This team needs an upgrade in goal and a better bottom 6 or it's going to be a repeat next season. With the bottom teams in the Atlantic getting better, it's not going to be easy to get to 115 points again.I am done with your hard take on the happenings of what went on. And I can't promise you that next year will be different. And you know what? It doesn't matter who they fire or replace. I STILL wouldn't be able to promise you that next year will be any different and do you want to know why?
BECAUSE WE LIVE IN A HARD ASS DIVISION.
Fire Keefe Fire Dubas. Sign whomever the f*** you want and I STILL couldn't promise you that we would get out of the first round. We iced a 115 point team that went into the playoffs on a high. Yes. Even if you signed Trotz. I still think our odds are about 50 percent to get out of the first round.
I'm not complaining. You are all complaining. The Metro is a hard ass division, so is the central but none of those teams complain about it being hard to win. Keefe may be a good coach but he is awful with adjustments. Just look at the PP. For most of the season it was really good but towards the end of the season and the playoffs it was terrible. All I saw was they kept sending the same setup out there. No changes to see if they could get it going.
I'm not complaining.I'm not complaining. You are all complaining.
Accomplished more than this juggernautIf Trotz's Islander teams had to play full seasons in 19-20 and 20-21, I doubt they'd even make the playoffs.
I'm complaining about you guys not complaining.I'm not complaining.
Would you rather be NYI with a couple of good runs to remember and a dismal future ahead, of the Leafs who have yet to win a round but are very well positioned for the future?Accomplished more than this juggernaut
I don’t think anyone is looking for a promise of winning but some measure of successI am done with your hard take on the happenings of what went on. And I can't promise you that next year will be different. And you know what? It doesn't matter who they fire or replace. I STILL wouldn't be able to promise you that next year will be any different and do you want to know why?

Oh so it’s Tampa playing like shit because reasons and not because they were playing Toronto. Gotcha.Trying to pull a fast one because nobody watching playoffs anymore eh?
7 of Tampa's 13 goals in round 2 were scored by their bottom 6 and Vasi went back to no.1 elite mode. We wouldn't have lasted more than 4/5 games ourselves against Tampa (version 2.0) with our soft depth and goaltending.
Our team is no where close to Tampa's level which is sad because the foundation is there to be even better if we had a competent GM.
I think we would like to be like Tampa or the Bruins, or ant other team that has won the cup in the 19 years since we have even won a single round. the Leafs have all the resources in the world available and still nothingWould you rather be NYI with a couple of good runs to remember and a dismal future ahead, of the Leafs who have yet to win a round but are very well positioned for the future?
But you don’t know for sure so we can only evaluate what we knowIf Trotz's Islander teams had to play full seasons in 19-20 and 20-21, I doubt they'd even make the playoffs.
I asked someone else a different question, not sure why you're butting in to answer a question that was never asked. Hard to believe that you have nothing better to do with your time.I think we would like to be like Tampa or the Bruins, or ant other team that has won the cup in the 19 years since we have even won a single round. the Leafs have all the resources in the world available and still nothing
I think your last sentence applies to both of us.I asked someone else a different question, not sure why you're butting in to answer a question that was never asked. Hard to believe that you have nothing better to do with your time.
That depends, if you just barely hit your head the last time…….what the heck give it another knockIf you took the same path everyday and hit your head six days in a row would you continue to take the same path?
Time for change.

I don't want to be the Bruins no matter what they've done.I think we would like to be like Tampa or the Bruins, or ant other team that has won the cup in the 19 years since we have even won a single round. the Leafs have all the resources in the world available and still nothing
Ya, I think your right…….I felt dirty as soon as I hit “post reply”I don't want to be the Bruins no matter what they've done.
What if you had spent all your money and couldn’t afford new gear or a helmet? If it's the shortest path, I'd just tweak my gear a little and get a helmet.
They used to be positioned that clock is ticking. All I know is which team fails every yearWould you rather be NYI with a couple of good runs to remember and a dismal future ahead, of the Leafs who have yet to win a round but are very well positioned for the future?
If it was the correct path and each time I bumped my head differently I’d adjust my preparation and gear but I wouldn’t change my path, no.If you took the same path everyday and hit your head six days in a row would you continue to take the same path?
Time for change.
31 teams fail every year. They used to be positioned that clock is ticking. All I know is which team fails every year
You need to have a good to really good regular season in order to give yourself the best opportunity in the post season. Obviously regular season results are secondary in the grand scheme of things, but to fluff them off as unimportant is disingenuous to the fact that as of now only half the teams make the post season in any given season, and of the 8 second round contestants they were all top3 in the their division, and all resided in the top 10 overall standings. (Pardon me, Edmonton was 11th)This team smells like ass right now and Dubas/Keefe lead the way....
We had a great regular season, but who gives a crap about regular season. That's where they hand out participation trophies.
The real trophy starts in the playoffs - round 1. And for 6 years in a row, we've crashed and burned before lift off....
If it was the correct path and each time I bumped my head differently I’d adjust my preparation and gear but I wouldn’t change my path, no.
