The visceral dislike for England is amazing. Some of it is deserved, but more of it is just hilarious.

They’re almost as bad as Taylor Twellman.

They did didly the last 20 mins of the 2nd half.

I will say that England pressed more overall so they deserve to go ahead in the tournament all things being equal IMO.

It's not absurd to say that "team x deserved to beat team y because team x was gassed."

Lots of teams have won games despite being totally dominated. England was in total domination but the point was it was 1-1 and the refs made a call that determined the final outcome of the game.

Sure, England were bound to break through, but the possibility of a 1-1 draw going into PK's was also a probability but that was totally denied.
