IIRC, Kane was on the half boards and on the PP. Made a routine dish back to where Jones was supposed to be and he wasn't there.

Feels like a trade where all involved can be happy in the end. I've enjoyed rooting for Florida in the playoffs while we rebuild anyway, so hoping Jones plays well there.

Honestly, kind of happy we traded for Seth Jones initially, now. I'd take Spencer Knight and a 1st over what we gave up to get Jones. The 2.5mil retention isn't going to be a factor until maybe year 5 of it, and that's a big maybe.

I honestly think Jones will fit in well with FLA. he signed with Hawks to win not suck ass. But his presence after the comment…..he had to go as soon as possible. Just the way it is for the young Hawks team. Thinking we were going to get Stank when he probably wasn’t even on the table is silliness. And we need G options as Mrazek has been dogshit for some time and Cammesso has not developed at all. Let alone Gajan. We cannot ride Soda every game and Mrazek is a guaranteed L.

In full honesty I have been day drinking all day and toking. Couldn’t believe KD pulled this off. It is good news for both sides and I hope FLA wins another Cup this year with Jones. I do like their team when healthy.

Chicago win if Knight will become our starting goalie or Jones falls of the cliff in few year's. Retaining for 5 year's is bad if we are sellers in the future.

If it had been my call, I would have made this trade.

But Knight has to become our guy before you can claim a victory here

The victory is getting rid of a guy that never fit with what most would agree was an albatross contract. Well, Kyle got rid of it. Yes, they are paying real dollars but who cares. The Hawks got a true goalie, prospect- project and a conditional first for Seth F’n Jones. I’m not sure what anyone would have expected to be better than this.
