Won't Marty be at a funeral? That's a pretty ****** move by the NHL. If dagoon's source was right that's just a slap in the face.

Not to seem cold, but a funeral paid for by a millionaire could probably be moved an hour or two.

They've proven time and time again they can beat Lundqvist. Sometimes you just meet a team that has your number. Montreal is that team.

And if we beat Price for one goal at the Bell Centre, its a big deal.

Couldn't you have made a similar post regarding the Pens? I stand by what I said. I honestly don't give a rats ass about past history. The Rangers are pretty dialed in right now, are playing hard for one another, and the team is deep and good down the lineup, at all positions. Rangers in 6

Price is in the zone right now. Rebound control is looking real good. Though a lack of rebounds hurts Boston a lot more than it hurts the Rangers.

Pretty tough knowing they will need to win in Montreal to advance. Though Boston's physicality and ability to win the slot territory (see Philly game 6) would have been a much tougher factor to overcome.

Their lack of speed vs. the Habs speed just tired them out IMO. Chara is a skating traffic cone at this point.

Our defense matches up well with their offense because our defensemen can all skate. Much better than Bostons defense. Offensively we can match the Habs speed (and for once have a physical advantage). I think we can do what the Bruins did not. Match the Habs speed while still out playing them physically. If Lundqvist plays well, I think we take it in 6.

i actually think the 1pm start saturday works to our advantage, its better for the road team. sat nite games the crowd would be more liquored up and more rowdy. obviously the montreal crowd will be crazy any time of day especially this late in the playoffs but i still think its a slight edge for us.

Advantageous in every way other than the fact that St. Louis probably won't play in the game.

in retrospect it seems ridiculous that Gretzky was given so much time in his office. Granted, if you chased him, he'd probably skate out and burn you some other way. Man does the defense look so lax back then. You'd think anyone could score with some of those opportunities.

Different era of hockey....coaching has gotten much much better and video technology to analyze opposition has improved greatly....back then coaches were using VHS segments as their best pregame tools to nullify teams

As long as Hank is so lucky to have saves as easy as he had in the third period of the last game, as another poster pointed out, we should be okay.

Anyone else worried about us going 7 in the first two series? It was one of the reasons we were so burnt out 2 years ago although our play style is obviously much different.

Nash again is the x factor going forward. Without him contributing, the series no doubt goes 7. If he can get on a roll, I can see us winning in 5 or 6. Those few more days of rest can be crucial.
Everyone seems to be healthy and AV is rolling all 4 lines and D pairs as close to even as its gonna get. McDonagh and Girardi are not playing 30 mins each, our top line isn't being run into the ground. Getting Kreider back was huge for our depth. AV trusts all 4 lines and everybody knows their role. Not worried about the first two rounds.

I think we could do this in 5, if we don't I don't mind losing to a team like the Canadians, Bruins would have been unbearable.

Oh and put Carcillo in for a few.
