Haha…what?

His forecast is compared to the end result which was the Rangers coming back and winning the series 4-3, which is quite far off from his original forecast of the Penguins winning 4-1…

Or maybe you're being sarcastic?

Well I've predicted every series it would be 1-0 after game one...and I've been right EVERY time!

Philly's net front presence on their PP is what killed us. Simmonds is a beast. Voracek took advantage of that as well, big time.

Subban is the Canadiens' biggest weapon on the PP, and I'm confident that we can take care of him. Vanek is a great player in front of the net, but he isn't like Simmonds. I think Staal will be able to keep him in relative check.

I'm confident the PK will come through, and if it does, we'll win this series.

Fun fact: Rangers have the best 5-5 F/A ratio in the playoffs (statistically, it means we're the most effective team in the league at ES).

But I thought Montreal was clearly better than us in every category? :sarcasm:

Well, it's not like the series was tied all the way through. When it was 3-1, he was very close to being right. We rallied and won 3 Play off games in a row, which we never did before

Lots of haters on the main board. The Kings came back against the Sharks and they were a juggernaut that just doesn't that has all this heart. We come back against the Penguins and Pittsburgh choked and we suck because we were down 3-1 at one point.

It's almost like when your team is playing just OK, your goalie lets one in that four other guys on the ice should have controlled before it even came anywhere near your net, but SOMEONE will blame the goalie anyway.

Some people...

I'm LOLing hard at everybody who thinks MTL is better than NYR.

If Bell wasn't a house of horrors, i'd be incredibly confident we'd pull this out. Rangers are the better team, it just remains to be seen if they can be the better team when playing in Montreal.

We have another chance to "undeservedly" win a playoff series before getting swept in the finals.

You are absolutely correct. According to the rest of HF, the NHL is just going to give the Stanley cup to the winner of the Western Conference. The puny Rangers or Canadiens don't stand a chance.

I don't even put much stock in the Bell Centre record at this point. I think the pressure is huge on both teams at this point, and historical records mean nothing.

We have skill and speed as well as they do..but they don't have size like we do.. Kreider has to goon it up in game 1..send a message :yo:

It's the playoffs. Different animal. Rangers should grow accustomed to playing in Montreal in the playoffs vs. playing there sporadically in the regular season. We were the best team (May be mistaken) on the road. We pulled off wins in Philly and we won more games in Pittsburgh than we did at home.

Mark it down naysayers! Rangers come back home with a 2-0 lead!

Rangers defense is by far and away worlds better than Montreal from a defensive standpoint... Montreals strong point on us is their offensive production from their defense, which currently we don't have much of. thankfully we can kind of make do with such killer defensive defense and a monstrous goalie in a hot streak...

Offensively, I'd say MTL looks about the same as NYR... though MTL seems like they have a little more luck in the finishing dept. No doubt it's going to be 3rd and 4th lines that make a difference in this series... I can't see Nash breaking out against MTL's first line, but I'm actually getting confident that he'll score one (He'd be going directly against Max Pax, and I'm not sure how well he plays defensively).

Just my pov

Anyone else really worried? I am

Hank does not play well in Montreal and it will be louder than ever

Pittsburgh didn't choke - just the Rangers were the better team and couldn't play to their ability until it was almost too late - what the hell happened in games 2,3, and 4?

make no mistake - the Penguins are not that good of a team and everyone knows it. Yet, give credit to the Rangers for taking care of business

Habs vs Rangers is very even - maybe the extra home game favors Montreal slightly...and if Lundqvist has a mental block playing at Bell Center (he's married now, so maybe less distractions in Montreal for him?)

I get that but now they're saying they wouldn't even let them switch it until the evening because of the Preakness which is a bogus excuse considering coverage is usually done by 7.

Regardless of St. Louis situation, the league should not be having a game at 1pm. There are only 4 teams left. 2 playoffs. Every other night. Emphasis on night. Bettman a jerk. Emphasis on jerk.

It's really not though, the NHL isn't in a position to accommodate that request. It's a huge deal to move a game, and it sets a very bad precedent to do that for a family matter.

The only times I've heard of the NHL moving games is when the weather's so bad that it's not possible / dangerous for the teams/fans to get to the arena, or when there's a terrorist attack like in boston.

But why was the game originally scheduled for a 1 o'clock start? That's stupid.
