I've said it from the beginning of the rumor the whole MSL trade was slather trying desperately to make the brad Richards signing work. He's so ****ing egotistical he can't just admit he ****ed up. I'm a Seattle Seahawks fan and their gm John Schneider knows wen he screws up and gets rid of people instead of just trying force it to work. I swear if brad Richards is on the team next year I'm gunna change over to my local team... Florida panthers. Ya that's how much livid I am about this roster

I'd just like to point out, that while yes some players should be producing. Let it be known that Brassard missed a open goal, with no pressure on himself. That toally deserves some attention

Steven ****ing Stamkos does not coast

Stamkos absolutely coasts. He's my favorite non-ranger and he is absolutely ineffective when he isn't scoring goals. Not as bad defensively as Ovi but he really isn't anything special when not scoring. Nash is an excellent penalty killer and one of the best scorers in the league. The Nash hate is ridiculous.

Horrible job by the refs to put the rangers down in the third with 2 minutes left! I never blame the refs( I am one for a part time job) but can anyone explain how that hit by Neil was not a late hit? What's Stall supposed to do stand there and allow his to take a run at him? Make the call but allow the game to be played out 5 on 5. That's the right thing to do! Nothing Stall did deserved 4 minutes especially if you let Neil take a run.

Can't imagine how the Rangers could have played much better. Aside from some sloppy play in the first allowing Ottawa some center of the ice chances the Rangers gave it their all and we are in fine shape.

People were upset when we lost 3-2 against the Avalanche, a top-5 team in the NHL.

We lose a tough game against the Senators, 3-2.

Losses happen. You all have to realize we were DUE for some losses. We can't go into the post season 15-0. It's not realistic.

Our playoff position against the Flyers is all but assured. We just need to make sure we shake off these losses, and play well heading into the post season.

Penguins are losing 4-0 to the Wild, a team that has 13 less points than them. I'm sure their forum isn't exploding.

It's a loss. Put things in perspective, we have been one of the most competitive teams in the NHL over the last 4-6 weeks. Losses DO happen. You can always break down "IF this" or "BUT that" but at the end of the day, it's not realistic for every hypothetical to go the Rangers way. If that was the case, they'd never lose.

Actually, the Pens forum has been in full meltdown mode for a few weeks now. That said, their outrage is warranted, the Pens have been garbage down the stretch and are showing no signs of improving on their recent playoff failures.

Regardless, nearly every team board freaks out over the littlest things. It's the general nature of fandom for most people (well, here, at least).

No it's more fun to blame Nash Hank and MSL

I disagree. Nash is overrated, and does not bring it compared to the cost.
It must be pretty bad for morale playing with a star that put forth such little effort.
Or maybe not, might show the other guys on the team that stardom is within reach. Who knows.

Blaming hank is stupid.. Nothing he can do when the other team gets grade A chances.. This team simply can't play defense some nights and then u take Mcdonagh out this team is lucky hank is in net

Actually, I think the only thing that saves the Penguins would be if they somehow matched up with the Rangers in the first round.

I think Detroit handles them easily, and Columbus beats them in 7.

Nash's coasting has rubbed off on stepan and kreider IMO... Before This year they all skated with speed constantly following the captain callahan. That's coming from someone who wanted him gone too.

The Rangers look great to me. Shocking that that is the case minus McDonagh and Kreider. The terrible Lehner had a good game and the boys couldn't pot a few glorious chances. Whatever.

I sincerely hope AV switches from man-to-man to a hybrid zone/man coverage system in the off-season. Man-to-man has been nothing short of a disaster some nights for this Rangers team.

Maybe because Brassard has helped the team's cause more than Nash since the Olympic break relative to expectations and cap hits for both players. Comparing Brassard's contributions to St.Louis is laughable altogether.

....no.

Brian Boyle is an excellent penalty killer. Dom Moore is an excellent penalty killer. Derek Stepan isn't even an excellent penalty killer, and he's worlds better than Nash.

Nash is a good shorthanded producer. This is neat. I love short handed goals, more than most (it's got an overcoming the odds feel). But calling Nash an excellent penalty killer is like calling Brian Boyle an excellent goal scorer. They can do it every now and then, but if you're relying on them for it, you're going to get bitten.

I don't know. Columbus hasn't proven they can beat the Pens; they're 0-5 vs them this year. It would probably go as the Isles series went. Columbus plays them tough and gives them a scare but ultimately their skill and experience wins out. Then they lose in the 2nd round to us or Philly :P
