they should try adding players with good compete level that come from competitive organizations. right now they should look at colton and marchessault

Would Adam Gaudette be considered a core player at this point?

He scored his eighth goal tonight, is a pending UFA and has the minimum cap hit.

Sens fans, what is missing from this equation:

_______ + McAvoy
Tkachuk + ______

Add a Bruins forward and a Sens D to make it work cap-wise and also to improve both teams.

For the record, I don't see any trade like this happening and I am a McAvoy fan (have his merch as well) but I love discussing realistic value with other fan bases.
Zacha and Zub?
Lindstrom and Chabot?
Frederic and Jensen?

Norris is a guy that i'd want to move on from if i'm Ottawa, if the interest is there to get a bit of value and dump his whole contract in the process. I just don't know how many teams would be willing to look past his injury history, unless they're absolutely desperate.

Chabot is the guy on the back end, that i just don't think you can build a contender around. His salary looks a lot more palatable than it did previously...but it's still committing to him as a "core piece" on the blueline. And he's always just been such a flake. He'll get his points and play his minutes, but i just wouldn't ever really trust him when the chips are down. Same reason i don't think he ever would have been a really serious option for Team Canada in all the "best on best" tournaments that haven't actually happened for ages.

There's just something about the "tone" Chabot sets in the way he plays, that i think would be a great candidate for a big "shakeup" trade.
