Adding my two Sens (get it?).

The Sens are too close in age to one another and have too much of that Hall-Eberle-Schultz-RHN thing going on as this young core that’s supposed to make waves. You can tell they get up for some games like when they play Toronto but don’t have consistency in their game.

Out of Norris, Grieg, Pinto, Batherson, Chabot, I think you have enough good young players that could become good, more mature players via hockey trade. But you need to install that veteran leadership all at once so they don’t get lost in the existing dynamic.

Culture needs to mature and they need to turn the page from being the Young Guns to a more seasoned approach.

Isles who are also in need of a shakeup offer Noah Dobson and Adam Pelech for Brady Tkachuk and Shane Pinto
Would sub Barzal for Dobson if that is preferred. Also open to a smaller shakeup deal involving Pelech for Batherson/Pinto/Norris although it’s occurring to me that you guys are probably set on the left side

I would not trade the guy who had 90 points in a season as a teenager. Anybody but him or Sanderson is fair game. I think the Tkachuk’s a bit overrated. People talk about them like they are Top 10 assets in the NHL

I don't see Stutzle, Tkachuk, or Batherson going anywhere. If the Sens are out of contention come the trade deadline, they may accommodate a move for Giroux to get him to a contender.

Norris is a possibility. He's got decent production so far this season and he's currently healthy.

thankfully they are not out of the playoff race yet thanks largely to the Bruins being terrible but it’s pretty clear that this core group of players together just doesn’t have it. They can’t rebuild/retool because they need to end the playoff drought asap. They need to shake things up with a lateral move. Maybe a 1 for 1 trade that provides better roster construction. Most of the chatter seems to be around Tkachuk getting traded. Let’s see some proposals

What the heck did you expect hiring Travis Green.

Sens will not trade their captain. It will come down to Batherson, Norris, Zub, or Chabot. All these players have relatively big price tags and are part of the core.

I think Batherson and Chabot make the most sense to trade, unless Brady actually does want out. Does Norris have any value? Need something good back in return.
if norris survives the season with no injury and gets 60 points i think he has a good amount of value. Forward with offensive upside and one that looks to shoot first. And theres the thing of gms hyping center value.

60 points would put him tied for 79th last year in terms of forward production.

Granted ottawa should only potentially consider this if they trust pinto enough

Imo Stutzle is the guy they should move. One for one for a hard to play against forward. A guy to compliment Tkatchuk. Not that this would happen, but a guy who plays like Suzuki.
Well you obviously haven't watched Ottawa this year. Stutzle is the best hes been already in this short sesaon. He aint going any where.

A major 1-for-1 hockey trade would be logical. Shake up the room without committing to a rebuild of the rebuild. The offseason is more appropriate time for it, I think.

Too bad Ottawa and Boston are in the same division fighting for the same playoff spot. They both have the same need of a shakeup on a roster that should be preforming better.

Brady for Rantanen

Brady for Pastrnak

Brady for Quinn + Peterka

Brady for McTavish +

Who says yes and no?
