Pakistan and India border each other, so why would they use nukes?

Also, do you think N. Korea would just fly a plane marked "bomb" into the US?

Couldn't they just put it on a passenger plane? Or any civilian aircraft?

I am pretty sure the only civilian aircraft that fly in and out of North Korea go to a certain city of China. People will notice if a plane gets that far off its route.

Anyways the swelling and sensitivity in my finger have gone down quite a bit. Hopefully I don't have to go to the clinic.

Before the plane could make it to Hawaii, N. Korea would be carpet bombed to oblivion. The US keeps tabs on countries that are unstable. I would be more worried about Pakistan and India since they both posses nukes and both very much hate each other.

Dropping a nuclear weapon on your neighbour isn't a good idea

You are right, blowing yourself up is not a good idea but, logic doesn't apply to radical terrorists. IMO we are no longer living in a world where the idea of mutually shared destruction is a deterrent to nuclear war.

They don't have to. All they have to do is capture a city that holds some long-range weapons. That's what's so scary about some of these groups. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to operate some of that stuff, like the surface to air missile launchers.

That's why the news was going crazy over the summer about isis taking a few areas in Iraq. Iirc, they even got an airport and some commercial airliners at one point. The one "good" thing about large aircraft, however, is how delicate they are. Leave those things on a tarmac for a few weeks without maintenance, and they aren't flyable, unless you have some highly skilled mechanics, parts and time to get them back in the air. The chances of isis having the know-how to keep sophisticated planes like fighter jets or big airliners in the air is virtually zero. (Kinda why the missing MH370 isn't news anymore. If the tinfoil hat people are right and some group has it hidden, there's no possibility of it being remotely flyable at this point.)

Ah yes, the old self-diagnosis.

A guy from the company I want to get a job for came to school today. Although he isn't involved in the hiring process, he said his boss said to see if there may be people interested. Hopefully I made a good impression :yo:

Also, starting on the final project is exciting :hyper:

I hope he didn't get grossed out by your gangrenous finger :sarcasm:

Entire family is sick, we had to postpone out flights back to Jakarta until Monday.

One more weekend in Ottawa! One more weekend to... throw up a bunch! And never leave a 50ft radius of any bathroom! Hooray!

I was gonna ask how the flight was.. then read this. Is it a stomach bug? Flu? You guys not accustomed to this winter thing anymore?

Terrorists getting a nuclear weapon, understanding how to use it and having the means to get it to where they want it to go is movie material

It's certainly possible but highly, highly unlikely: no one with nuclear weapons (governments) want that to happen, no matter how much they hate somebody else

I hope you are right, but I can't help but notice the actions of countries like Russia with leaders like Putin that mirror past circumstances that have lead to world war. Yes I am putting people like Putin in the terrorist section of world leaders.

Industry Canada is hiring in Surrey, Kelowna, Edmonton, and Regina, and taking applications

Right now the top 3 places I would want to work are:

1. Ross Video
2. Industry Canada
3. Dome Productions

Hello Sens fans,

I'm moving to Ottawa this summer and am wondering what good areas/bad areas to avoid are around Woodroffe type area? thanks

I don't think there are any areas around Woodroofe that are so bad you'd want to avoid them at night, but I would highly advise against renting an apartment anywhere near a 2x3 block radius around the shopping center at the corner of Woodroffe & Baseline.

There is a set of apartments there affectionately known to locals as "The Four Holes", aka the Baseline Court Apartments. Do yourself a favor and never even consider them. They are so bad that the complex is a running joke amongst West End Ottawans.

Also, the Minto Apartments on Baseline & Navaho (I think they're called "Aventura", or something like that) are pretty sketchy, but not so bad if you don't mind smelling weed 24/7 and having unreliable (but not necessarily bad) neighbors. It's a building right next to Algonquin College, so there are definitely going to be some party apartments nearby.

Outside of those two spots, everywhere else is super-liveable. Even some of the other lower-income houses like Woodvale Green in Craig Henry, or some of the spots in Tanglewood, they're all totally fine. The Woodfield corridor, outside of the Four Holes and possibly those Minto apts, is very safe.

Caldwell and iris are not the nicest neighbourhoods iris>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Caldwell.
Now I use to walk through Caldwell every day to get to work but never at night. A customer of mine had to testify as a witness to murder on that street and I lived 2 blocks from it. Mind you that's off merivale but pretty close.

As stated above every one knows not to live at the 4 holes unless you have no choice. Also unless you don't mind parties and shinanigans don't live near the college.

So I ended up on one of those Youtube adventures where you find yourself in "the weird part of Youtube" and I found out there is a Youtube channel devoted to toilets
