I beg to differ

But time will tell, I'm not worried about China whatsoever

Interesting that no one here is talking about China's debt though

In short: China owes a bunch of debt.... to itself? A lot of China's debtors are state-owned enterprises. It's odd. Still problematic, but in a different way.

It's FAR more complicated than that, and there are still a lot of pitfalls that China can fall into (like any country, really), but I have far too much packing to do between now and 5am tomorrow morning to really post at length about it.

Ugh. I have to leave Canada already? This sucks. Back to Jerkarta tomorrow. BOOOOOO.

What about countries run by insane people?

Nobody insane enough will ever be elected to one of the democracies that have them. The elite in the communist party of China would never let someone that insane lead them, and Kim Jung Un would never do it because it would be a huge threat to his power.

North Korea had nukes and is run by an insane person. You can't use logic in their case.

There are a lot of terrorists who would love to get a nuke and they aren't so expensive that no one can afford them.

China would basically abandon N Korea's government if they used nuclear weapons. Nukes would delegitimize Un in China's eyes... Threatening to use them makes him appear strong for propaganda. Don't think he is insane enough to actually use them and get deposed and killed.

I will miss you. I will tell others tales of your kindness.

Seriously though, have a safe flight home.

North Korea has small-time nukes and no way to deliver them

Maybe 10 or 15 years ago, but China are being ****ing brilliant right now in their foreign acquisition policy. They are buying up foreign resources like it's going out of style. They already "own" huge swaths of Africa, and have first rights to a vast majority of untapped african resources.

China is playing the long game, and they're doing it masterfully. North America are going to get caught with their pants around their ankles in ~20-30 years, and China will be there to help them up... for a fee, of course.

If this were a board game, China is playing ten turns ahead, while the US is still revelling in that great move they played two turns ago.

China has been following The Art of War to a T over the last 20-30 years.

They also own a helluva lot of our land and resources now, too. Pretty scary.

Over the counter meds? Make an appointment with a dr?

Well I noticed my finger was a little swollen yesterday, and it was worse today. I have let it sit in warm water like the site suggested (couldn't find any anti-bacterial soap at home). If it doesn't improve I will go to the walk in clinic this weekend

Is there salt in that water? That should help with an infection.

A guy from the company I want to get a job for came to school today. Although he isn't involved in the hiring process, he said his boss said to see if there may be people interested. Hopefully I made a good impression :yo:

Also, starting on the final project is exciting :hyper:

Some free advice.

Learn about the company so you can answer basic questions in an interview and try to be professional. Communication is important, speak clearly.

No nuke is "small time" and any nuke can be put in a plane and flown over any place in the world.

So, yes, they are a threat, an unstable threat.

Before the plane could make it to Hawaii, N. Korea would be carpet bombed to oblivion. The US keeps tabs on countries that are unstable. I would be more worried about Pakistan and India since they both posses nukes and both very much hate each other.

Pakistan and India border each other, so why would they use nukes?

Also, do you think N. Korea would just fly a plane marked "bomb" into the US?

Couldn't they just put it on a passenger plane? Or any civilian aircraft?

Entire family is sick, we had to postpone out flights back to Jakarta until Monday.

One more weekend in Ottawa! One more weekend to... throw up a bunch! And never leave a 50ft radius of any bathroom! Hooray!
