So annoying when the same person always orders the pizza and gets what they want. No one else likes green peppers on their pizza and are left picking them off all for the want of one.

Pretty much every Tarantino movie has at least one scene in it that is unforgettable. And Christoph Waltz' performance in Inglorious Basterds is unreal.
.

For me it's the first scene of inglorious basterds with the milk. Not sure what it is but everything about the scene is just perfect.

One of the more "Metal" classical pieces I can think of is the Carmina Burana by Orff.

You've guaranteed heard O Fortuna before, but there's a reason it's in a bunch of movies - it's badass.

Paul Anthony Romero (seriously, he's awesome)
Fryderyk Chopin
Gustav Mahler (not a favourite of mine but lots of people dig him)

Anyone else own any Criterion films?
I have a bunch of Antonioni movies on DVD, I think they're on Criterion but would have to check.

(just checked: L'eclisse and L'avventura are Criterion)

I don't collect much; just watch them either when they play them on TFO (my PVR is full of stuff I have yet to watch) or when I go to some city that has a art film club, like the Cinematheque in Vancouver.

What do you have?

Agreed

Wong Kar Wai is amazing but it's a real shame that he and Christopher Doyle had a falling out after 2046 (which was pretty poor)

Also, In the Hall of the Mountain King from Per Gynt... And Night on Bald Mountain.

Heck just watch both Fantasia movies. Also the BBC Proms have an excellent finale.

Main thing with classical is your speakers or headphones need to have decent dynamic range rather than just being bass boosted womp womp dr dre beatz crap. Because otherwise you'll be constantly adjusting volume to hear the entire symphony

I've been taking advantage of their 50% off flash sales for the past year or so. They send them out to their email subscribers. Shipping to Canada is expensive but its still a worthwhile deal. I think my collection is up past 20 now.

Picked up Persona, the Qatsi trilogy, Wings of Desire, and a few others.

Ultimately I think the preservation and restoration work they do is important, and with the detail and effort they put into their releases its clear that it's a labour of love. Even the essay booklets are a great touch.

So GTA: San Andreas is selling for $3.45 right now on xbox.com. The regular price is supposed to be $15, so buy it while it's dirt cheap!

By the way, this is the HD re-make for the xbox 360.
