I like how they are doing a continuity between episodes so far, but first week's was strongest and this week's was weakest imo.

I disagree, but probably because we have different circumstances. I'm not a big football fan (really liked the first episode, tho), and I went to UVic. The gender / bathroom debate was a huuuuuuuuge one in my last few years there (I graduated less than a year ago) so this weeks episode hit closer to home.

I also avoid wheat as it gives me rashes, so last weeks was fantastic, too. Feels like Matt and Trey are making episodes just for me, haha.

I think I liked the kickstarter angle of the first.

This last one I guess you're right, couldn't relate but seemed like they were almost targeting transgendered individuals.

Though maybe as a comparison I could relate to it'd be like if they made an episode where they were targeting the womyn of the feminist movement as opposed to feminism itself? Because I only ever hear the Cis term applied from the extreme sides of the gender discussion.

I heard the term Cis all the time at UVic

Hmm. ESPN fantasy league... Goalies are 5pts for a win, - 1pt per goal, 0.1pts per save, 1 for a otl, 3 for a shutout...

I have two starter spots, and all 4 goalies I have are starting today.

Price
Varly
Kuemper
Andersen

Debating whether I should go for the guaranteed win and hope for a close score with Varly and Kuemper...

Or start Price and then it's a coin flip between the other three... Leaning towards Kuemper though he wasn't really tested, Andersen is getting his first start and is likely going to want to show he's better than Gibson, and Varly because I can't see Colorado getting embarrassed in their home opener after that first game in Minnesota.

I'd go Price/Varly. No way does Colorado get blown out two games in a row. They're going to come out swinging.

I hope so, but when you consider Colorado's preseason, they're not instilling a lot of confidence

I don't like to put a lot of stock in pre-season, but if you'd prefer to look at it that way it's definitely a valid argument. I'm not a fan of starting two goalies playing against each other because. yes, you guarantee yourself a W. But you also almost always guarantee yourself an L.

Yeah. Best case scenario especially the way the points are configured - would be a 0-0 shootout win for one goalie

But so far it seems that blowout losses are about -1.5 points, while non shutout wins are hanging around 4.5 points. Shutouts though end up like 9-11.

Hoping riding 4 goalies (who all are getting a respectable number of starts on likely playoff bound teams) will help give me that edge in this particular league. Still trying to sort out what players are more effective than others though with a point system. I actually think I enjoy this style better than the yahoo per stat column style.
Going to go with Price/Varly tonight though because they were my pre-season plan... figured Kuemper was that dark horse to take over as #1 especially after Harding kicked a wall, and then Andersen was a last round pick so I had some possibly solid trade bait mid-season.

Players wise I screwed up and dropped Loui Eriksson when I saw he was on the third line as a knee-jerk reaction (and someone with a higher waiver claim got him), because I think he's going to end up back with Krejci when he's healthy?

How in the world were they targeting feminism? It was about transgingers.

I'm not a fan how anything sex-related gets lumped into feminism honestly, I think it might time for a better, more inclusive term. I love how Stan got confused by the whole thing.

I was making an analogy. They weren't targeting feminism at all.

Because to me it actually seemed mean-spirited, moreso than when they attack religions. I know Colorado in the last year had this whole debate, so it was kind of topical - but just didn't seem funny to me in general. I mean if you remove the social commentary and just look at the characters themselves, yeah - the whole Cartman vs Wendy thing is usually good for a chuckle or two.

What was mean-spirited though?

At the end of the day Randy, the character actually having identity issues, is accepted back into the fold and the journalist who was going to use his identity issues to get a break decided not to

I'm assuming you mean the parity stuff?

Microsoft is demanding that stuff on their system be the same as on the PS4: it terms of release dates and graphics

So you've got a lot of people, especially in that cesspool NeoGAF, going ******* over it

Gamer Gate is like two different issues that happened really close together and blown out of proportion by industry journalists because they had nothing else to do.

1) you had that one developer who made the depression game or whatever, having her personal life publicized by an exbf - which included dating a game reviewer for a while (though he never reported on her games /they didn't date any time around the game release)
2) Had that other person who made some videos about misogyny in video games and got all the SJW and White Knights on one side with her and a bunch of people proving her point on the other side, with normal individuals pointing out she basically was just being Jack Thompson 2.0.

Zoe Quinn and Anita Sarkeesian, respectively.

Catch up with y'all later!

Also: if Anita Sarkesian could please go get a real job and stop tying to monetize the feminist movement, that would be great. She's hurting it far more than she's helping it.
