Shadow of Mordor has one major problem

It gets less fun as you progress: you become so ridiculously overpowered by the halfway point that there is no challenge and thus, no fun

The Witcher 2 had a similar curve: the game was a lot harder at first because you had no abilities but while the game did get easier, there was still plenty of challenge in preparing for the fights which gave lots of lattitude in player approach

Couldn't you just let time pass and allow the Uruks to gain power instead of squashing all their power struggles?

You could but it still won't be a problem if you are at all used to Arkham games

The combat system, while very satisfying is just too easy to master: I regularly get to 100 hit streaks

It's all about patience and not focusing on a single enemy

I agree but I don't know if it's a big problem that you've mastered the combat system. Just try changing it up, use shadow strikes, arrows and all that jazz. I forgot that I had unlocked some stuff. I die a good amount so the difficulty hasn't been a problem. You really feel the weight of that defeat if it's a major objective. Makes you approach it differently next time. I do see the need for a new game + type mode for others. I think I'll beat it and move on to something else like Sunset Overdrive or Bayonetta 2.

Is there some trick to dominating Caragours? I never seem to be able to do it and end up having to kill them.

To be fair I have to say I really enjoyed the game and highly recommend it; it's just that the second half is nowhere near as fun

The reason I'm able to get to 100 hit streaks regularly (my record is 153) is because I mix it up which I mastered in Batman. I died plenty of times at the start of the game ( Skatuga, Beast Master got me a good 7 or 8 times! :shakefist: ), but once you get the 5 hit to execute and combat brand the game becomes insanely easy

Caragors? Well you can shadow strike dominate them eventually. Honestly I never use them but I do know that it's a lot easier to get them from atop: try getting the high ground and you should be able to drop unto them and dominate them

Yeah, I know you can get them from atop. Seems to be the only way, which is annoying because it's difficult to time it and get a perfect vantage. It's really annoying that you can't just dominate the ones in the cages that are littered everywhere. It was really fun to ride them the one time I did... I have all these perks for riding them too.

The witcher 2 reminds me of Poland. Really awesome concept, but in the end it loses out to some less ambitious games.

Witcher 3 looks like the best game of all time, though. The trailers are all jaw dropping

Yeah

The Witcher 3 is looking like it's going to be ridiculously awesome

It took me about a year to "get" the second game but once I did I was hooked like I hadn't been in a long, long time

Nothing like seeing an Uruk stronghold get owned by a pack of caragors.

Always fun to just jump into the middle of them and start to chain brutalize too.

I'm still in the first area because I keep doing outcast missions as they show up. Need to figure out how to kill a graug for the hunting mission too.

Just watched the last two

I hadn't laughed that hard at South Park in a while

That felt really good

The decision to go to 10 episodes has been a good one so far

I like how they are doing a continuity between episodes so far, but first week's was strongest and this week's was weakest imo.

Hm. Definitely not, then... definitely saw the word "Morrisville" on a tower or something. I dunno, I was pretty drained at that point. Maybe I'm just imagining ****.

okay thats cool just wondered... Hoping to move into Syracuse at some point and I already have the apartment picked out which is right across from the Syracuse Crunch arena (The OnCenter) and maybe host a party if anyone wants to come down at some point in the future :) but that's not in motion yet so for right now it's Morrisville :)

That happens in the second area via story missions.

I liked it a lot. I love Randy so much
