You made that dough did you? I wish I had a mixer so I could do the same.

edit: Well...I guess you don't really need a mixer do you? False problem. Let's get those hands working.

Forgive me but the dough is actually store bought. I tried several times to make whole wheat pizza dough and it just came out terrible. Veggies are from the CNY Market and cheese is Sorento but I shredded it from the block. Two pieces were enough for me and now I have dinner or leftovers for tomorrow at work.

Joy of Cooking and a mixer are your friends. I've only ever done it with a mixer and following their time tested instructions and that turned out wonderfully. I also used to work in a pizzeria where we made rather large batches but that knowledge is far in the past. I needed that little refresher and it turned out to be much the same thing. Like riding a bike.

In any case, looks like you've acquitted yourself quite well there with a good looking bit of pizza.

Making pizza dough from scratch always turns out better, but it is a pain so I usually cheat on that in some way. Ditto pizza sauce, although I am more likely to make a homemade sauce than homemade dough.

I can't believe Apple is actually airing that U2 add after their whole automatic download thing. It makes me want to immediately turn my tv off.

If I had one of those Kitchen Aid mixers i'd totally do the dough that way. That's something I forgot about that should be on my list of majour purchases. I don't really have room in my little dirty apartment though and I'm looking to move into a larger place in Syracuse (right across from the On Center) so once I get that done i'll definitely be making some dough.

If they're a proper breeder you should be able to ask them for references.
Also, do they show them?

Can check their registration to see if they are getting their dogs checked for the usual genetic defects for the breed.

Going to move this talk into the OT thread though when on my PC.

I'll add some more links too.

Looks like there's a breeder in Kemptville, and one in Gloucester - both seem to have a retired adult available, but no mention of any current litter plans.

(I don't know what it is about horse and dog people that have websites designed like they're from the 90s)

http://www.siberianhuskyclubofcanada.com/breeders/breeders.htm

If your job was to get animals to do it, you'd probably be a little behind in the technology department, too. Or that's actually when they made them.

The only website I've found ships the dog to you. It's 450 dollars for the shipping (even if it were cheap, I wouldn't do that) + 1,000 easy for the dog with shots.

Oddly enough, I see them quite common in my small town, but I'd feel odd to stop them and ask where they got their dog.

Honestly, with people who get their dogs from actual breeders - they probably wouldn't have an issue with it.
If they got it from a puppy mill/off kijiji then yeah it might be an awkward conversation.

Out of curiousity why a Siberian Husky? (and I know it's a total tangent from the thread purpose) Always need to keep in mind that the purpose of the breed is to run away from you.

I've always liked those kind of dogs. The look of them is very beautiful and they seem like dogs that can get along with other animals and, in the future, small children.

I will (hopefully) be getting a house with a nice size hard to have the room for a high energy dog.

I check kijiji almost daily to see. I found a person in the Toronto region giving away huskies. I have found litters on there before closer to my location than Ottawa, but at the time I wasn't this close to getting a house.

Moving these to the back of the thread so I don't bork it all up :d

Links for information on dog research! Provided to me when I was looking into my whippet.
