Brodie isn't on the roster to play tonight but he's practicing, might be dealing with a minor injury. That's why he's paired with Pietroniro at practice.

I think he missed a few weeks of training because of his fathers passing. He’s catching up.

For Robertson I am looking to see if his IQ has changed. He watched a ton of tape while injured, did it make a difference? It seems he just like skates directly at the puck like he is an EASHL drop in player in the past, and doesn't care what is in the way or where players are at on the ice.

I am hoping to see him take smarter lanes in all 3 zones and maybe develop a bit of patience for the puck to come where he is at instead of trying to get the puck, carry it into position, and shoot like he tried to do last season.

I watched a bit of footage on twitter of him in camp scrimmages and he was still very head down, get the puck and let me rip it. But that isn't in game situations, it was like 3 on 2 drills. If he can show he can be a 20 goal scorer without being a liability he should have a job on the team. Kind of make or break for him with the Leafs IMO

Yesterdays game wasn’t bad. Though Willy was really flying, just noticeably the best player on the ice. Knies good too.

From looks of lineup we’re going to just goon them this game.

Over/Under on the first time Robertson gets rocked is 10 mins into the 2nd.

I'll take the Over.

I love preseason games. It's cool to see players on the bubble who are super motivated to make an impact.

I'm hoping to see a big game from Robertson. I still believe in this kid. And Noah Gregor. The PTO guys are always an interesting story line.

Feels like both teams would be better off coordinating their rosters. Leafs definitely iced a weaker lineup last night but will be the much stronger lineup tonight (could very well eat my words…).

Seems we most need to find away to clear about 2.5m in cap space so we can just pick the BEST team.
Terrible to suggest the team will be weaker because a player is waiver eligible but a better player than someone who gets a spot.

Teams always ice the stronger ones at home in the preseason. Trying to make it a better experience for the home fans.

Edit: beaten to it word for word lol

Fair, maybe this is them coordinating. One team gets to see how their bubble guys fair against tougher NHL competition. The other team gets a tuneup without their top guys having to go 120% in a game that doesn’t matter.

Plus ticket sales obviously.

Which lucky building gets the two crap teams?

We don't have to clear that much in reality. I see us about $497k over... and needing to waive a D man... possibly Timmins, and we'll be under.... that would be a bit of a disaster unfortunately.

Best team = waiving Reaves and Timmins and then calling up Holmberg and Robertson.

Best asset management = running 11-7 and this is likely what happens.

We will be cap compliant game 1 with a 20 man roster and losing no one important to waivers.

What do you think is the best team that we can't ice right now?

Sens fans ready to declare themselves a playoff lock and all of their contracts a stroke of Da Vinci level genius if their crap squad wins tonight.

The overhyping of Sanderson is nauseating.
I’ve had Sens fans trying to tell me that Sanderson is “super elite at everything”.
