lost 3 out of our last 4.
True, pure fact, but it does actually matter how or why a team loses. This is not one of those "moral victory" posts, because I really don't give a rat's arse about that. Lose enough of those moral victory games and you still lose, miss the playoffs. All I am observing is that in cases where your team totally dominates play and you get beaten by a VERY hot (and lucky - 2 posts) goalie, that is far better than outright losing because your team sucked. Sure there were some mistakes made, but overall the Sens dominated this game throughout and just got beat by a very hot goalie. The chances, the shot clock, everything backs that position up. Like so many other posters have observed, if the Sens play like this they win far more games than they lose. I'll take a loss under this unusual circumstance any day over one where the team does not show up, cannot remove their collective head from their ass. Like many said, not mad or upset, more surprised than anything, but also pleased.

Both Sanderson and Chabot played 27 minutes.

Going to be very, very hard to keep guys fresh when you have 3 D playing 13, 12 and 8 minutes.

They desperately need Zub back to get the minutes back under control.

It is very inspiring that they dropped Hamonic back to the minutes he should be getting if he was in the lineup.

It’s pretty obvious that he’s an everyday player for us, which is utterly insane. JBD never saw the ice in the 3rd, unless I missed him, and only got 8 minutes on the night.
Hamonic needs to be traded. He isn't an option on our blue line, not even as a 7D. I didn't see a lot of Jensen in the third and I am trying to understand why? We definitely need a healthy Zub.

Damn you Shesterkin, Sens were better team.

gave up a goal on the first shot, and Gaudette couldn’t get the angle just right on the empty net. 3 posts tonight.

On to Seattle.

Ottawa was the better team tonight but this 'Rangers are frauds' narrative is complete BS. The best teams know how to squeak out points in all situations - that's exactly what separates the top of the crop from the rest of the league. Play a mediocre home game, get outshot 40-20, and come out with 2 points in the standings. That's exactly what the Sens are missing to take the next step.

Only chance is if Demelo , Pionk or Miller gets injured and Winni wants an insurance at the TDL since Hamonik is from the area
Maybe for a 7th
0.000034 % chance
I'm pretty sure the reason he wants to stay in Ottawa is because his daughter has a medical condition that CHEO is one of the best at treating. I don't think Winnipeg will cut it.

Ottawa, ON
Not the best game for the Norris line
Sandy's advanced stats have taken a big hit with Hamonic. He is still playing well but not as clean as he has been.
Huge difference Zub vs Hamonic.
Nice to see Kleven and Greig up there

Where's Gil's Green report card after the 1st month?
I posted to show the Hamonic effect. It wasn’t sustainable since he’s been a borderline NHLer for a while.
