When all 3 players come back (including Zub), do they have the cap space to have an extra D (Hamonic) and an extra F (MacEwen)? If Hamonic's not playing, then he's in the press box. Can MacEwen be sent down to the minors? If not, do they send JBD down to make room? I too would like to see Gaudette remain in the line-up instead of MacEwen once everyone returns.

Yes, but wasn't Ridley injured at the time? I guess it would be MacEwen in the pressbox once Perron and Pinto come back. Then Gregor would go back to the 4th line with Gaudette and Cousins, Ridley could remain on the 1st line and Perron be reunited with Pinto and Amadio as that line was clicking before Pinto's injury and Perron's leave.

I'd be fine with sending just ostapchuk down and keeping Perron as the extra forward

Damn, what a game by the boys ... so many close calls. We really deserved that one. If they keep playing like this, we will win a lot of games this year. Even our losses against strong team, we haven't been dominated, total different feel from the last few years about this team !

I am a big fan of this edition of Adam Gaudette. I don't think we've had such a dangerous player on the 4th line....ever?



Probably the main difference between a cup contender and the rest.

The last time I remember having a scoring threat on the 4th line was Vermette. He had so many tools: speed, great at face-offs, great hands. Just couldn't handle the pressure when placed higher in the line-up, his scoring would dry up.

I mean. He could have played the body instead of screening his goalie on the first one. and on the second one, he could have not deflected the puck into his own net, or at the very least prevented his own goaltender from reaching back to try to make a desperation save.

Check Engine light on the Sens road record is now officially flashing red. They are 1-4 and have 6 road games left in Nov (Buf, Bos, Tor, Car, L.A., S.J.) so realistically won’t be a .500 road team until the end of the month

Expect them to be on the bubble on the outside of the top 8 until their road record gets to at least .500 - so not in the top 8 until Dec 1

With those road games, the only team I think will give them the most trouble is Car. They seem to have a hard time against good transitional, forechecking teams. I think the other 5 are all beatable.

I think Hamonic is an easier target because there’s really nothing he does well. Norris at least puts up points.

A turnover by the blueline isn't an automatic goal against.

Hamonic should have got a stick on the puck or went down to block the shot, he did neither and the as a result Panarin got a great shot off through Hamonic's legs, which made it really hard for Ullmark to track the puck.

And yes the second goal against was Hamonic's fault. Didn't tie up Lafreniere's stick or box him out, instead he tried to block the pass but just like earlier in the game the puck went right through his legs.

Norris was absolutely terrible yesterday, but Hamonic's only job is to defend (as he's beyond useless offensively) and he utterly failed at that task.
