Vancouver's such a weird matchup! Too bad it wasn't vs Montreal or Toronto, it would bring more hype towards a rivalry.

The Senators have asked the league to hold an outdoor game against the Montreal Canadiens at the newly-built Lansdowne Live in 2017 as part of Canada's 150th anniversary celebrations.
That would be amazing!

HAHAHA yeah try living here..
There are two types of Canucks fans:
Knowledgeable and smart ones who know what they are talking about and are true hockey fans. They are enjoyable to be around. These fans come up to you at games to talk about your team, lately flatter you with compliments on how good your young team is. Praising the Sens and envying their depth and prospect development. They exist although maybe outweighed by type two Canucks fans, there are a fair amount of them.
Then there are Canucks fans who are not "hockey fans," just Canucks fans. They don't know anything about any other team and don't give a hoot either. Every single player on the Canucks, including Steve Pinizzotto, should be on the all star team. These fans give Canucks fans the bad name. They come to you at games and obnoxiously boo in your face. They may poor beer on you and deteriorate your experience at Rogers Arena. Poor ambassadors of a city that welcomes all walks of life, there is only one colour in these fans eyes (BLUE). Odds are they are from the eastern part of our metro region, but not limited to (SLURREY). There are lots of them, but not all Canucks fans are unbearable.
Also it has a lot to do with this city, a lot of disillusioned people live here that forget things quickly. Like the Grizzlies and the quest to get them back. They were here once before, and no one gave a rats ass.. Although we got dicked around, if we wanted them here we would have shown up to games. Even in the Canucks "dark years" fans still showed up. They traded away franchise heroes and drafted absolute plugs, but people still showed up. The whole throwback trend has taken a hold of the city and a false sense of entitlement.
But it's a beautiful place to live..

Funny how fast the Senators have changed their tune on this. When they were competing against OSEG and Lansdowne, instead wanting the city to green light a soccer only stadium by Scotiabank Place, Cyril Leeder shot down the notion of an outdoor game at Lansdowne, claiming it "wouldn't work." What he really meant was, "We wouldn't control the concessions." Now, suddenly, a game at Lansdowne is A-OK.
Spot on! I am a fan of both teams and consider myself in category 1 (After Game 7 against the Hawks I saw a guy in a Keith jersey getting stuff thrown at him on Granville. I went up, shook his and and told him what an amazing series it was. He thanks me and said he hopes the Canucks win it)
However, its the mast majority in the second category. For that, I've fallen out of love with them and started following the Sens more, been a fan since 07 and after getting GameCenter this year just love them, and I don't see myself leaving with this core of young players.
As for the weather, I remember getting a huge dump of snow in March around spring break more than 5 times in the last 10 years. Its very bipolar.
Yeah it's a bit unfair to label all Canucks fans as Dbags.. Because they are not. There are a lot of smart enjoyable people who you can have a great conversation with. It almost alternates every year I go to watch the Sens play at Rogers.. Some years I get great fans who provide great hockey talk or no talk at all (the best case scenarios). Then some years its absolute obnoxious hicks who wear their trademark dbag jeans and Canucks jersey with their trademark dbag faux hawk that's been out of style since '07.. Mouth breathers. These fans will boo you from three sections over.
