I think you're actually correct. If it's warm they could just close the roof and freeze the ice from beneath.

In Vancouver none the less...I would be very angry if the Sens game next year was at BC Place. Its my one time a year to see them live.

If it is anything but sunny the roof at BC Place will be closed. The systems installed cannot handle much moisture.

it's BC place. The area of the hole in the roof is about the size of one team's defensive zone.
