Englund had a very good game last night against the Americans. He absolutely rocked an American player around centre ice, but got called for interference. Also had a nice slap shot, bar down goal.

I don't recall seeing him out there for many, if any goals against. His positioning seemed very good, always in front of the net looking around for a player to take. You could tell him and Nylander were NHL prospects, the rest of the team didn't have much skill IMO.

Aho has been they're best defensemen to be honest, can't believe he got passed on his draft year. He was scheduled to be taken in the 2nd or 3rd round last year(He's still eligible for this year). I've seen scouts compare him to Karlsson because of his small size and excellent puck handling/rush, altough he's not as good as Karlsson, his game is similar. The game against Canada he was one of their best player. Nylander seems like he's really soft but has lots of talent.

Didn't get to see the game against the US but really happy Englund had a good game.

The kids got a ton of talent but if I were him I'd be seriously thinking about getting on some hgh.

I saw him at the bar in bingo last spring and he's built like a 16 year old girl.

Meh. I met Hoffman at a bar this offseason. Same case. I was astonished at how small he is. Whatever your thinking. He's smaller than that. No exaggeration.

You're right. I really want dzingel to make it but I know the odds are against him because of his frame. From what I hear, he easily gets knocked off the puck and spends a good time of each shift on his rear end. Turris was like that too but Turris was given more rope due to draft status and the trade. I'd love to be wrong though because the kid has a very unique skill set in this organization

And Pageau is even smaller, he may be the smallest player in the Sens organization along with Camper Carter.

I can't imagine a proffessional hockey player being thinner than Hoffman. Shorter sure. But thinner. Not a chance.

If you ever get a chance to attend the development camps during the summer you get to see a lot of these hockey players up close. While a lot of them are huge some of them are quite thin & small, somewhat unexpected for professional athletes. Also the fact that they are so young & some aren't even shaving yet & are on the verge of being millionaires, seems crazy really.

And yet Pageau is more physically imposing and more difficult to play against than Greening, Michalek, Robinson, Grant, Legwand and Wiercioch.

Makes one think. Or it makes some people think at least.

In your opinion. Greening was right up there with Neil in hits the last few yrs. I think most would fear all of those guys coming in on you than Pageau. He plays hard for a smaller player but physically imposing, I don't think so.

Neil 100 % is feared around the league for his hitting. But greening does not hit. He bumps. he passes up tons of opportunities to absolutely out people through the boards. He's just unwilling to do it (for one reason or the other). Greening with the willingness of Chris Neil would be a very valuable player.

Of course he isn't feared like Neil, very few are but he went after McCormick last night after he cross checked Zibanejad & McCormick is Buffalo's enforcer. I've seen him do it a couple of times. I know we all want Greening to be tougher, meaner & hit harder, I've been saying it for yrs that he is too nice but he is what he is. It does look like he is trying harder, he has made some decent plays & had some good shots on net & looks like he is also trying to defend his teammates. If he was much cheaper he would probably take less heat from fans but being the enforcer is the hardest job in hockey, very few are willing to do it.

Yeah greening at 1 million is so much more appealing to the eyes. He is quietly leading out team in corsi% at 54-56 I'm pretty sure as well. Which is great. But that contract is a nightmare, and he's not young. He's not going to get any tougher, you're right he is what he is. I don't think we need an enforcer per say though. We just need a player who opposing teams hate playing against. Boro seems to be one of those guys

Lol. Pageau's hits hurt. He has excellent core strength which he uses very well to lay out great hits.

Have you ever met Pageau? I've stood right next to him, he is about 5'6" & 170 lbs at the most, his size is over exaggerated. But he does play a physical game for his size, I'm just not sure his hits hurt anyone unless he blind sides someone. What do you think they will do with Pageau when Lazar returns to the team & who would you keep if you can only keep one of them?

I had lunch next to Adrian Aucoin yesterday, who is listed as 6-2, 213lbs on hockeydb.

He looked 5'11, 180lbs.

I watch hockey and Pageau's hits cause damage. He is very very effective on the forecheck and some defenders back off cause they see him coming. I haven't seen defenders do that for half the roster in comparison.

It wouldn't be weird for an Nhler to lose some of the muscle they trained to keep after careers are over.

Believe it or not, a small guy with strength and speed will hit to move someone better than a big guy going slow.

I can only guess confidently that pound for pound boro is the strongest player on the Sens.

Exactly my point sizes are exaggerated it seems on most sites for some reason.

those two points offer no argument to what I said.

Although I could have given more credit to greening in this regard I feel like all I'd have done is eccentuate the fact that he plays soft or can't translate it into physicality.

Don't see too many guys at Avg size push people Around like boro does.
