The only way to have prevented that play if you're Tkachuk would be to cheat to the boards and block the rim pass. Which means he would have blown the coverage in the D zone.

It's ok kid you're new to hockey. It happens.

no he didn't have to cheat. all he had to do was play it conservatively and with a proper defensive mindset. he did neither.

The rim pass was unavoidable its what happened after that caused the breakdown. I don't think you even know what im saying tbh.
