It would not be a knee jerk reaction to make a move to improve this D... Of course it hasn't happened since Methot left so .. not likely going to happen now

Honestly, i think these days you have to farm top 4 defenders of be prepared to give up a ton for them. I think we wait until we can slide sanderson and one of Thomson or jbd in there and let them grow with the team.

I have a hard time seeing how else we'll add a top 4 anytime soon.

i personally think its unrealistic to think Sanderson will come in and save the day for us. Dude is super young and could struggle or just be average.

If anything the sens should really shore up the top 4 and add him into the bottom pair to start.

Honestly if money wasn't an issue i don't see why any team wouldnt spend

I see a very Chabot like trajectory for Sanderson. Speed, skill...he'll eat up ice time and be a factor immediately imo.

Agreed.. We get on the road in back to backs with this corps though and we can get into a slide pretty quick.
Trying to get a 4 would be too expensive now. Getting another Holden a 5 ish D on a decent team would be expensive.
Hate to go back to not moving Demelo and keeping him for the 3 or 4 he signed with the Jets .. would look pretty good right now

There’s been nothing wrong with his play. His work below the goal line lead directly to two of Batherson’s goals. The third Batherson goal was also a pass meant for his stick. His presence has been felt greatly by his linemates.

Yeah Tkachuk has been impressive considering he missed all of preseason and training camp. He has been very effective. He is still getting his timing down with his touches but he could have easily put up a ton of points if that was up to the level it would be if he did have training camp and preseason to get himself going. He has also done a good job sparking the play of Norris and Batherson who both look more effective with him on their line.
