Wonder if ANA would consider moving Josh Manson if they struggle. He was rumoured to be a possible trade candidate last season.

Something needs to be done but Dorion has had since April to improve the defense and all he has to show for is Del Zotto. Pretty sad

There’s been nothing wrong with his play. His work below the goal line lead directly to two of Batherson’s goals. The third Batherson goal was also a pass meant for his stick. His presence has been felt greatly by his linemates.

Yes we haven't had a deep and complete D squad in a long time. Karlsson has had some very good D-men to support him but most were aging so they weren't in Ottawa for long or in their prime (Methot, Gonchar, Kuba, Phaneuf). We just never seem to invest enough in D-men. We haven't been great at drafting them too.

GM has to address the weaknesses on this team or we won't go anywhere

Now that the season is underway, injuries are piling up, supply and demand have changed, prices have changed, options are reduced by x 10

Would love Manson if we are confident in extending him. If we are gonna trade Brannstrom, I'd be interested in adding Shattenkirk, too. Not ideal - ideally I'd acquire a 2nd pair RD and play Brann as our 2/3LD - but something I could see being a decent option. He wouldnt help team D one bit but he'd add an exciting element to our PP2

Sure, we should have acquired a top 4 dman that doesn't have monster money owed and is getting old. We all wanted it and we ended up with mdz. Not sure what happened in all honesty.

We acquired a decent 5 in Holden, maybe that's all dorion thought we needed. And maybe it is, it appears we're a year away, so get Sanderson in there and make some deals next summer, but no long term big money deals or we'll regret it.

i personally think its unrealistic to think Sanderson will come in and save the day for us. Dude is super young and could struggle or just be average.

If anything the sens should really shore up the top 4 and add him into the bottom pair to start.
