I saw the play the caps had possession behind the net and it was rimmed back to the rd. Brady was covering the slot exactly where you are supposed to be if you don't have possession. Do you not understand simple d zone coverage? Or in your fantasy land is the winger supposed to leave the slot open when his team doesn't have the puck?

Brady took a classic boro run at the pointman and ended up taking himself out of the play. caps pointman made an easy play as a result and the Caps had all the open ice to make another easy cross ice pass, resulting in Batherson having his ankles broken.

it wasn't much, but in the NHL you don't need much. if Brady was a good defensive player he doesn't make that run. it's little plays like this that constantly add up and make brady a bad defensive player.
