I didn't think we played bad, Forsberg let in some stinkers, but we got some really good chances. Could just as easily be up in this game if we got solid goaltending.

While the goals against could be easily preventable by better play from individuals, the team has looked bad in the NZ and defending their blueline. Caps are gaining the zone and creating open ice by drawing defenders away from the middle of the ice, the support hasn’t been there to cover.

Comparing Josh Brown and Brannstrom would be far off, not Mete and Brann. Also considering that Mete is here and Brann isn't..

No, it's a terrible comparison. Like, I'm sorry, but they are not even close in terms of how they play, their skillsets, anything other than their height and physicality. I'm not even saying Brannstrom is better... I won't even get into that. But saying they are similar players is about as superficial as an analysis can get.

Yeah the goaltending of Forsberg was not good enough. He let in multiple sotft goals. He needs to be better. DJ Smith should have pulled him earlier. Josh Brown also had multiple bad giveaways. That is why we are losing right now.

We have been creating chances but we need to start converting on them.

Think it was the goaltending. He stopped a breakaway and a 2 on 0. He wasn't great on the last one but the team infront of him. Particularly the d core was horrid. They gave up 18 shots and about 10 scoring chances.

Brown was 0nly on the ice for 2:36. Brown needs to sit or go fight Wilson and give us a laugh cause his play is not funny. That might knock some sense into him.

This game has got to be interesting for a 19 year old like Stu and a 22 year old Norris. Well, really all the kids on the team who have never played Ovie. McDavid is awesome and so is Matthews, but half these kids grew up watching Ovie shred the NHL. They look pretty composed, but it has to be a unique mental experience starring down and competing against potentially the greatest goal scorer of all time. I imagine going up against Crosby and Malkin will also be unique, but should be a valuable learning experience

That's actually not too bad a period score aside. 13 shots. Lots of good looks. We had a couple of defensive gaffes that cost us and Forsberg looks like he is still shell shocked from Saturday

We can't allow 18 shots against per period though.

It really wasn't Forsberg's fault. that's an easy and lazy excuse to make. Just look where the shots were coming from, unmolested shots from dangerous areas. The only one that was bad was the Jensen shot and he was screened on that play.

This is just one team having more skill than the other. not on the goalie.
