I dunno, I think he deserved better. He put a great young core together and locked them all up to term. All while having to deal with Melnyk’s restrictive ownership for most of it. I think he did pretty good for the most part.

The Dadonov thing was a blunder but I think he should have had more of a run to see what the up and coming roster could do. Now some other GM will come in and reap the rewards as the team keeps improving.
Great might be a little generous, I would say he locked up a good young core. It looks like the kind of cores the Minnesota Wild have been locking down for years. Solid, certainly not bad but never really viewed as a cup contender.

You should take a job with the Sens PR department with these takes.

That’s all he’s got. The Sens sell him hope and he overdoses every season.
You should try harder to troll its trash take after trash take. None of what you said had any merit. Prove your work if you want to be taken seriously.

What rebuild? JB was trying to win this whole time

Mind you, the GM who acquired OEL/Pearson/Dickenson and the GM that had to pay to get rid of them are two different people

Oh btw, we did sucked our way into Peterson and Hughes
I know but sucking for a decade and only coming out of it with a 5th (petterson) and 7th (hughes) that are usable is pretty underwhelming.

I echo what others have said.

He'll be a brilliant addition to any organization as long as he's not making trades. Assistant GM + Director of Scouting & Development, whatever, he'll be absolute money for whoever hires him.

If he wants another GM job, I'd probably stay away from him.

Nah, you could look this stuff up. Even when you’re constantly proven wrong you move the goalposts.

You’ll probably spin the owners statement as he got a great deal because the team hid information that would have increased the Sens price.

If he knew the money Pinto was making gambling the team might have cost him 2B for that invaluable advice. Right?

I like that when Andlauer was talking about Pinto and the pressures and temptations a 21 year old with money faces, he briefly mentioned Wayne Gretzky and MGM ads.

I find that what a terrible person Wayne Gretzky is doesn't get mentioned enough in hockey forums.

Greedy and selfish enough that he partakes in convincing young people to develop gambling addictions. As if he doesn't have enough money already. Pure sociopathic behaviour. I give guys like Matthews and McDavid a break as they are young, probably enjoy gambling themselves, and are naive about the societal implications.

Gretzky is also a raging MAGA. I don't even consider him Canadian anymore. Just a terrible selfish me me me person.

So is he going to remove the gambling site (Bet99) from the Sens helmet or is he happy to partake?

Seems quite contradictory if he doesn’t rescind it.

Seems unfair.

I checked it at the time and Dadonov's 10 team no trade list clause still emphatically appears on Capfriendly: Evgeni Dadonov Contract, Cap Hit, Salary and Stats - CapFriendly - NHL Salary Caps

Does Lost Wages not have an internet connection?

Look stuff up? I just did where is this expansion team you claim to be readily available? I didnt move any goal posts, not only did you state that there was an expansion team to buy but that it was going to be for way less than Andlauer just paid. PLEASE SHOW US.

WTF are you talking about the owner getting a good deal. I never said anything about that. Are you for real? How can someone be so disconnected. There is a quote button. Quote what was said, if not dont say 'someone said this'.

Why would you know an expansion team is readily available?

Did the league tell you about Vegas and Seattle?

I’m saying he could have purchased an expansion team instead. It doesn’t mean today. He seems quite upset about his purchase, that’s on him.

Maybe you should of looked up the price of the last expansion team.

It wasn’t 500 duh

Oh okay. 650.

Less than the Sens. The point stands. Unless the last expansion team was sold for more than the Sens, it would have been better to wait.

Didn’t he have to pay down millions in debt? Did the NHL withhold that from him too?

You just said he could have bought one. Are you for real. Then you double down. PLEASE SHOW US THIS TEAM THAT HE COULD HAVE PURCHASED. We will all wait as you continue to embarass yourself.

Another bullshit comment out of no where when was he upset about the purchase?????? Is he upset that the league never mentioned the two investigations during the sale process. Obviously, I bet you have never bought anything substantial in your life you clearly dont understand business on any level.

He could have bought Tampa. He knew the Sens were a gong show. Even the selling process was a gong show with sellers pulling their bids.

Note to Bert and the children he's arguing with...

One reason the Sens sold for so much is that the land the CTC sits on is prime housing / retail / office development land that is worth a fortune.

It's hard to value a 1st round pick, lets assume it's 2025/6 and is late. Perhaps $5-10 million? Wouldn't affect the sale price much. Pinto will have no effect, as he's going to have to sign his $875K qualifying offer instead of the $2.2 mil he was looking for, so if anything , it saves the Sens money.

But it is certainly true that Andlauer has a right to be miffed he wasn't informed about these matters. If it was up to the NHL, it's bush league not to inform him. If it's the selling group, it was Melnyk's lawyer, who must be a snake, so buyer beware dealing with someone with no morals.

Edit: Andlauer wasn't interested in in Tampa, or an expansion team (unless in the GTA which will never happen. He's from Montreal, lives in Toronto, and has a team in Hamilton. He wanted a local team. Since Toronto and Montreal are not for sale, and are out of his price range, that means Ottawa is the team he wanted.
