Of course he does.

It’s just ironic the new owner feels he overpaid for his new asset.

He could have spent 500M and inherited a problem & debt free playoff team instead. I’d be pissed too.

Due diligence,
The owner was aware of the Dadonov Saga, maybe not Pinto's.

I can't wait for Chiarelli to get the job and hire Claude Julien

Julien said on the french radio that he is open to come back as HC (or other jobs). But he will not rush anything.

Ottawa would be a perfect destination as he lives nearby.

Chiarelli sucks, but I think Treliving might be the only current GM that's worse than him.
Imagine signing Huberdeau, Weegar and Kadri to longer term deals and then being fired. Only to be immediately hired. I hope the Senators don’t go the Chiarelli route

Do not know why the fingers are being pointed at the NHL. League wasn't selling the team. If Andlauer has a problem with disclosure, he should be asking the previous owner about it.

Probably could update the title with Staois being interim GM.

Ottawa is not an expansion team.

Says nothing about overpaying. Maybe it implies the NHL was acting in bad faith? You're just here to get your jabs in.

If you don’t think a buyer saying the league withheld information to get the highest price possible doesn’t mean I overpaid - I don’t know what to tell you.

I guess you’re literally looking for him to tell his new fanbase those exact words.

Yes, that’s what I’m saying. He could have bought an expansion team, which would be a playoff team, for even cheaper.

He’s pointing out the hypocrisy of the league, the same way he did when he talked about gambling ads and pinto. He is saying the league was negligent.

Where is this expansion team you speak of he could have purchased? Is the league getting a new team next year?

Cannot say I agree with Andlauer here...he got you to a spot where you're likely competitive now. Why risk something on a new unknown guy over something that happened before you even owned the team

There is absolutely no merit to this. There are no expansion teams available strike one. You dont know the price or value. Strike 2. No guarantees the team is in better shape than Ottawa strike 3. My god your posts are brutal.

The last expansion team was 500M.. 2 years ago.

He clearly suggests it here:

What does best price possible for the seller imply to you?

I didn’t make anything up.

Last expansion team was $650 million , looks like you made the 500 up.
Franks is speculating, since he started with “maybe”, so you also twisted his words.

They rescinded the Jersey penalty. More precedence on that than the first rounder they arbitrarily took. But hey that doesnt fit your narrative right.
You keep hanging onto that hope bud.

Nevermind that they rescinded the penalty because Kovy didn't fulfill his commitment to play with the team.

You should take a job with the Sens PR department with these takes.

That’s all he’s got. The Sens sell him hope and he overdoses every season.
