Ugh Smith, pretty poor. Doesnt seem to be able to get any flow on his line.

Scored 19 goals since Spezza went down (10 games), EK on the ice for 13 of those. No goals since.

Seems the forwards collapse to the net too much, end up with 2 behind the net and one in the crease. Too easy to defend, and then all that happens is a flutter shot from the point. Need someone to stay high in the slot.

Like I said, the Sens haven't scored a lot this season, they are around 25th in the league.

Exaggerate??? What have you been watching for the last 2 games? They can barely string together a couple of passes. Most chances in the offensive zone die right away. We can't sustain any pressure and our guys can't hit the net when they shoot. Not to mention were playing more rookies than anybody should play at the NHL level. What's to exaggerate?

Don't worry when the organization sees 14,000 a game or fewer a trade will be made by then its too late lol...

Stache made that point the other day. He said it wasn't just skating to the front of the net but paying the price to stay there looking for loose pucks. Too many guys take a shot and then veer off or skate behind the net because they know they'll get hacked if they stay in front.

Sportsnet is so lazy. They use the same stock footage of the prudential center in back to back intermissions. You can see all the Pittsburgh jerseys every where. It's not even their own. Probaly taken from MSG

I'd just like to see some plays connect, sustain some pressure or at least drive the net, we pass waaay too much in the neutral zone against a team like New Jersey

Depends on what the cost is IMO.

Agreed, but that's a given for any trade.

There aren't any trades that are going to fix a team that has lost its top center and Defensman for the season, any trade has to be primarily for the future. If it helps now, that's a collateral effect.

This is what rebuilds look like when most of the core veteran group is missing.

If the fans in this city decide not to support this team then they deserve to lose the franchise IMO.

NJ has played this type of game for years and been very effective.

Expecting a collection of young players to dominate against them is a little much IMO. The Devils are in first place for a reason, they are beating everyone with this system.
